"Nobody likes you!" an ominous voice screeches.

It was the voice again. Again. Alex knew what was going to happen to her, and that is what scared her the most. "Nobody likes you!" the voice rang in her head, over and over it rang.

Why is this happening to me? Why doesn't anyone notice it but me? What about...

Suddenly her thoughts were cut off, "Alexandra, come down to dinner we have guests tonight." Her mom shouted up the stairs. She knew that tone of voice, something big was about to happen, but what she didn't know is this moment was going to affect the rest of her life.

Alex turned into the hall towards the bathroom. She looked at the gleaming mirror. Her dark brown hair was styled with bangs and hit about her shoulders. Alex's eyes were a hue of purple-blue, she stood at 5'3, and was slender. Alex was wearing a band t-shirt and shorts. She wasn't satisfied with her appearance, but that didn't matter right now.

She turned around and rushed down the stairs as fast as she could. In the kitchen sat three people, her mom, a man, and a women.

Suddenly the women stood up and walked over to meet Alex. "I'm Tarahni and that there is Hettia. We are here to take you to a school for your own personal safety."

Alex glanced at her mother as if to say 'did you know about this?' Her mother just sitting motionless, it almost looked like she was petrified.

Should I continue? Any thoughts or criticism?

It's a great beginning and makes me want to read more.
