Okay. I was wondering, I bred two of my pets, Geko and Grey Glow (who has been released) and these were their traits.
Geko - with lesser genetic mutator and was geniticly tested
Gene One: Serval Spots
Gene Two: None
Gene Three: Lace Runes
Mutation One: None
Mutation Two: None
Mutation Three: None


And Grey Glow had been genetically tested as well
Gene One: None
Gene Two: None
Gene Three: None
Mutation One: Fae Wings
Mutation Two: None
Mutation Three: None

And their offspring, Snauzz had this (genetically tested)
Gene One: Clouded Leopard
Gene Two: None
Gene Three: None
Mutation One: Lunamoth Wings
Mutation Two: None
Mutation Three: None

How is this possible? Have I completely misunderstood the way traits and caired and visible things work? I thought I had it figured out? Can you help explain to me why this resulted as this did? Thanks, and here is the link to the offspring: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1966564

That's cause your little offspring got lucky and inherited both hidden traits the parents carried.

Hiddens are like carries, except they exist in the same spot as a trait that is shown as a visible. So you can't see it on the pet profile, you can only see it by either going to the advanced search and searching up your pet (the slot that has a hidden will be purple with the hidden trait's letter being after the letter of the visible trait). Slots that only have the visible trait and no hidden is shown blue.

An easier alternative i use is just pasting the pet's image url into somewhere and you'll see the lettering there. For example: this is the mum -

in the pink bit we can see 'FG'. F is the fae wings she has, G is lunamoth wings which she has as a hidden trait :) Same thing applies for dad who has clouded leopard as hidden behind his serval spots.
