So... everyone LOVES a good scary story no? Be it your own experience or you heard it from your mum or dad, or maybe your grandparents? Or maybe a friend told you about it... Please share it with us...
Let me start. It's gonna be long, so brace yourself.
Back on my first days of college, they have this orientation going on, run by the seniors for the freshmen. It is common here and they almost ALWAYS include what you call the "fright night". It is usually for fun though, where your seniors get to dress up as ghosts and wait in certain areas to scare the marbles out of the freshmen.
Usually they pick out creepy places for this specific event too, and seniors of my college picked the mountains, thus all of the freshman and some of the seniors are going to camp there for a night.
In the morning, the usual orientation goes smoothly, we undergo the usual military exercises just like boot camp, got yelled at by the seniors as usual (don't worry, no bullying, it's just how it is here, so we'd toughen up, the seniors are freaking nice after this whole orientation is over), and a few explanations about our college curriculum, all the stuff like that.
At night, we got a few hours of sleep, like from 9PM to 11PM I think, couldn't tell because I didn't wear my watch. The seniors woke us up and told the whole freshmen to get into small groups and follow a few assigned seniors to someplace, again, I couldn't tell, it's dark and it's a freaking mountain I've never been to.
So when we reach our destination, the seniors asked everyone on our group to scatter around, no one sits close to each other, they also told us to lit our candle (before we go camping, they had this list of items we should prepare at home, the candles and matches are one of them).
We picked our places, I picked a place a bit further from the rest, near some kind of an uphill. When I was just about to take out my candle and lit them, one of the senior told me to move from that place, because I was too far, he picked a place closer only a few feet away from some other freshman (it's a guy I think).
Before the seniors left us, they gave each freshmen a questionnaire, I forgot what it is about though, I think it's something about what major are we going to take later and some other personal questions. After they told us to fill it in, they left us.
After awhile, we started to fill in the questionnaire and I can see the guy next to me fill it in quite fast, then after a few minutes, I saw another group, led by a senior (the seniors wore blue shirts to indicate they're part of the committee), the guy closest to me joined that group, I was sure that some of the freshmen looked into my direction, but they didn't call me to join in. At that time, I thought I was waiting for a specific group, maybe the first senior who led me here.
That group left and I was alone, I couldn't see anything because it was pitch black, but I can see some kind of light from afar, indicating there are still people around, so I thought maybe the fright night wasn't over yet, because the seniors hasn't scare us yet.
It took another few minutes for me to realize that the light I saw earlier was gone. No one there now, I am then completely alone, I thought that the fright night has finally begun or something. Minutes passed and sounds of falling leaves (I think they were huge, because it sounds like falling rocks) starting to scare me. But no one came to scare me or picked me up yet, my candle is still burning, the only thing I can see is my candle and about 2 feet radius away from it, the moon (which doesn't help much because of the leaves were blocking the light most of the time), and the rest of the world seemed veiled in darkness.
I spent my time trying to rescue bugs from coming into my candle, ants were running towards the wick and I tried to save them by leading them somewhere else with a stick. By then I thought to myself what if they accidentally missed me? That I was lost all along. I thought again if that were the case, I'm going to wait till sunrise because walking in the mountains at night is not the best idea.
Another minutes passed by and I can hear footsteps from afar, I was so relieved that people were actually still around! I turned to see on my right that there were flashlights, I sighed in relief, then I realized those flashlight were coming fast towards me. I squinted my eyes, then there are 4 people arrived at where I am.
"There you are!" one of them said, he told me to come along with them, I still hadn't suspected anything, another one told me they were part of the committee, but they're one of the lecturers who were there to observe the whole orientation. He told me that actually I've been missing for a whole 3 hours.
I didn't believe what he said, I said to him that it does felt long, but it felt like an hour or so, I even showed my candle which was only a half way melted, for a cheap candle this indicate I haven't stayed there too long. The lecturer told me that we should thank a black cat who apparently blocked the wrong way, the cat wouldn't budge when shoo-ed and approached, then one of the superstitious lecturer told the others to go another way, which in fact that path led them to me.
Then the 5 of us went to the place where everyone's at, the seniors were frantic when they saw me and told me to warm myself, gave me blankie, a cup of hot tea, sweets, and led me to where I supposed to sit near a bonfire. Of course when I arrive, all eyes were on me.
The next morning before we all went back home, people were talking and pointed at me, started to call me the missing girl, some of them asked if I'm okay, some just asked what does it feel like to be missing for hours, I explained to them what happened and no one apparently believed my story until I took out my candle. Some of them told me that their candle were burnt out in a mere few minutes and was shocked to see mine were only a half used.
So, after the whole orientation is over, we go to our usual studies, a few days after the incident, one of my lecturers were sitting and chatting with some other freshmen, and called me over to retell my tale in front of everyone. After that, I went to go on my business when one of the freshman who were there listening to my story called me and asked me to not freak out. He tells me this, "I saw you when you came late and approached the bonfire, someone or something were holding you tight from the back. It's gone now, but it seemed to like you..."
So, what's your story?

No probs! Though I wouldn't want any of these things happen to anyone... unless you're into things like this... :/
I was honestly confused by the whole incident, lots of the other student were theorizing about my disappearance... The guy who told me about the shadowy figure on my back said that 'it was trying to drag me with it, no evil intentions, it just liked me', some told me I accidentally went to this ghost zone or something because of the odd time difference. -_-"
Some were thinking about the weird black cat that saved me was a mountain spirit... but heck I wasn't that superstitious... Never thought stuff like that could happen for real! To me even! DX

Nouuu, I loved your story XD It's okai....
Scary things? I can't think of any now....but...
About 2 months before, I was sneakily staying up late to play on my phone. I have an old touchscreen computer that doesn't work very well, and turns itself on whenever someone touches the screen. My family's study room is next to mine, and the way my apartment was designed allows me to see a little inside it.
At around 3-4am in the morning, I was just casually tapping on my phone when my computer screen suddenly turned on. I wasn't too spooked out because this was a regular occurrence (sometimes it turns itself on in random times of the day). So I got out of my bed to switch it off. Just as I pressed the off button, the computer in the study room turned on! Now I was slightly creeped out because that computer isn't touchscreen, and shouldn't be able to turn on by itself.
(It made me wish I had a axe around with me....just in case...)
After mustering some courage, I ventured into the darkness of the corridor to switch that computer off. and the funny thing is, just as I switched that computer off, (you guessed it) my computer in my room turned on!
Needless to say, it could be some morbid coincidence, but I decided to quickly go back to sleep, and pray it doesn't happen again ;A;
Edit: TBH, after reading what I wrote again, I found the situation more funny than scary XD But I was seriously scared out of my mind....that stuff just seems to happen in the middle of the night...

I could always tell you about the first time I played Ninja Chidori. OwO That had an eerie feel to it.
But then again, I was crawling around in the air ducts of my school in the middle of the night, with no one around. XD

Ooh, I have one!
One day, a small boy went to a thrift store with his mother. He saw a stuffed panda holding chopsticks, and he really liked it, so his mom bought it for him. He went home and played with it in the basement all day, and he left it when it was time for dinner.
On the verge of sleep, he heard,
"Chopsticks, chopsticks, one two three, I'm in the basement and I'm gonna get you..."
He thought nothing of it, and dozed off. Again on the verge of sleep, he heard,
"Chopsticks, chopsticks, one two three, I'm in your living room and I'm gonna get you..."
Now just a little frightened, he dozed off and heard,
"Chopsticks, chopsticks, one two three, I'm at your door and I'm gonna get you..."
The boy hid under the covers, terrified. He then heard,
"Chopsticks, chopsticks, one two three, I'm on your bed and I'm gonna get you..."
His parents heard a scream. They ran to their son's room, only to find the stuffed panda holding four chopsticks.
After the incident, the mother returned it to the thrift store, where it still lurks, waiting for a young child to be lured in by its evil fluffiness.

Now, I am a scientist. I believe in evidence that is verified through repeatable tests. That being said, I have personally witnessed some things (and had others there to witness it, too!) that I'm not entirely sure science can explain, and it leaves me feeling... conflicted.
My first experience with Weird Stuff came back when I was a wee Junior Girl Scout, at the camp I ended up working at. We were staying in the "Blueberry Hill" cabin, so named because it was surrounded by blueberry bushes that produced seriously some of the most delicious fruit I have ever tasted. But I digress. It was on the opposite side of the pond from the rest of the camp sites, completely isolated. That was fine, it didn't bother any of us. We were yet too young to be afraid of horror movie tropes. The second night we were there, all the 14 girls of my Troop had situated their sleeping bags in a straight line, and all the parents were more haphazard, towards the windows. Lights off eventually came around, but of course that meant that we all just whipped out our flashlights. Most of the girls chittered amongst themselves, whereas I was actually trying to get myself sleepy and therefore was using my flashlight to read a book. I was probably the sixth girl in the line of sleeping bags, but I noticed when the first girl's flashlight went off. It was hard not to, as she called her mom over. They tried replacing the batteries, but the flashlight just wouldn't work. It was broken, obviously. What was extra-weird, though, was when the girl's flashlight next to her experienced the same fate. No amount of battery-changing or smacking on the hand would get that flashlight to luminesce. Then the girl next to her. Already we were staring to notice a pattern. The fourth girl and fifth girl both had their flashlights crap out on them. Stubborn as I am, I continued to read up until the moment my flashlight ceased to work as well. Down the line it went for all 14 girls, about a minute in between each flashlight going off. It was one of the strangest things. The parents were all somewhat disturbed, but the girls, myself included, just felt inconvenienced. Eventually, everyone fell asleep. I don't know what time of night it was when my friend woke me up to accompany her to the latrine (as no one had a functioning flashlight, it was going to be a fun time, to be certain), but as we both went to get up, we looked out the window to the back porch where, no lie- I swear I'm not lying- there was a large blue light floating around. My friend and I were spellbound watching this thing. It floated across the deck and back, floated near the edge towards the lake, and winked out. Finally willing to look around, I turned and saw that my mother was also awake (possibly roused by my friend asking me to go to the bathroom), and had been watching too. I occasionally ask my mom if that really happened or if my mind is just making things up. She assures me that it really did occur. My mother and I took my friend to the bathroom as we whispered quietly about what we just saw. When we packed up all of our things in the morning, we found that someone had put a crate of foodstuffs in front of a plaque in the kitchen commemorating the death of a Brownie Girl Scout (somewhere roughly between the ages of 7 and 10) who had passed in this cabin.
I had a friend, years later, from another Troop in the area, who told me of her own Troop's weird experiences at Blueberry Hill. This was not an isolated incident. Pretty weird.
But that's not all!
I have another inexplicable story that my mother can, yet again, corroborate. The family computer in my house is in our basement, which is refurbished to be Not Terrible. It's at a desk by the back door, and we have to sit at such an angle that the stairs are just in the corner of our eye. That's how, one day in high school, I saw someone in bright yellow start to come down my stairs. She got down far enough that I could begin to make out details- she was in a sunflower yellow sun dress, with a wide-brimmed white hat, with long, dark brown hair. I didn't get to make out a face, as her back was to me. However, when I turned my head to look, there was no one there. I chalked it up to seeing things. After all, I was by myself in the basement, there was no one there to assure me I hadn't just pseudo-hallucinated her. I went back to playing Morrowind or whatever I was doing. However, the next day at school, as I was walking through the hall, I caught a flash of bright yellow. Thinking it might have been my boyfriend (he always wore this hideous yellow fleece, so he was easy to pick out of a crowd), I turned to look. No one was there, let alone anyone in tacky yellow. For the next week, I kept getting glimpses of this lady just out of the corner of my eye. I still thought I was seeing things, though. There was no reason for me to think any differently. That weekend, my mother and I took a trip up to see my aunt and my still-infant cousin. As my mother, aunt, and I sat around in her living room chatting, I saw that flash of yellow again. This time, though, when I turned to look, it did not disappear. Standing, plain as day, in the middle of the room, was the lady in the yellow sun dress, smiling demurely. The mouth, though, was her only facial feature- she had neither eyes nor nose. She noticed that I saw her, grinned widely (but not unkindly, oddly enough), and disappeared. "Huh." I was ready to just shrug it off, as it was not a frightening hallucination of any sort, but I turned to look at my mother and aunt, who both were staring at the space where the lady just was. My mom looked thoughtful, but my aunt was completely white. "Oh," I asked, "did you see her too?" My mom nodded and seemed interested that I had seen this specter. My aunt looked at the both of us, completely horrified, before shrieking and running out of the room.
It was kind of funny, actually. (I never saw the lady again.)
I also had a few vaguely supernatural-esque experiences with my one friend that I used to get into all sorts of trouble with, but I don't really talk with him anymore so I can't verify that I'm not just exaggerating in my own head with those. I have no idea what to make of these situations, though. It's baffling.
