Hey there!
Thanks for stopping by and helping me out here, I really appreciate it.
I'm new here, but I'm not new to drawing feral critters so I'd like to start offering commissions! Eventually I'd like to create separate thread as my Art Market, but first I need your help to decide on prices! Every community has a different economy and I always want to make sure I'm not out of touch before I am firm with my costs.
So anyone who helps me in this thread will receive a promotional price of half off their next commission. If you don't have the funds right now, don't sweat it! I'll be writing your usernames down for future reference.
My terms can be found bellow, and my turn around times are listed under each option in this thread.
Thanks in advance!
**** I do not accept in site currency. I only work with Paypal and Email Transactions. Thanks for understanding!****
**** I will consider trades for items, pets etc. As a Noob I don't have much hehe
I'm looking specifically for an 'Astral Nebula gown'! ****
Clean Sketch
The best bang for your buck, I offer a discount if you'd like it finished later.
I usually charge between $18 - $22 CAD
Filled with your colour of choice, or left transparent.
Turn around is usually an hour.
Full Body, Full Coloured
These are my most popular but also my most expensive.
I usually charge between $48 - $58 CAD
Turn around is a lot longer, normally taking me anywhere between 4 hours to 8 hours.
A sketch is sent to the buyer before the commission is finished to ensure full satisfaction.
Terms: No Porn
No Humans
Credit is not nessecary when using the image, but it's a nice gesture
You may alter, re use or sell the image. It's yours, do whatever.
All unpaid commissions will be posted with a huge water mark, until payment is received in FULL!
Thanks again for helping me out guys! I know there's not much wiggle room, but I try to charge by the hour so I'm not waisting my time. If the prices seem expensive please remember that I'm not an art newbie, you'll be receiving quality art work which takes a lot of time and money, with full rights to the image once it's been paid.
Don't be afraid to be critical, I'm here for opinions!
If anyone would like to order a commission now, I only ever have five slots open at a time. Currently two are in use from outside sources, so I have three available.
Slots Available:
1. TAKEN
2. TAKEN
3. OPEN
4. OPEN
5. OPEN

darn on no site currency, but would you be willing to do an art trade?

I don't take trades very often during the school year, usually just in the summer. :)
As for in site currency, I only ever offer that option during the summer as well. It's just too busy with University to work for anything other than real money haha

Hey! As for prices, those look high to me, buuut you should be warned that you may only get one or two orders every like... 6 months. People here don't really do cash currency commissions here on the site. Most, like myself, will pass that up in favor of commissions that can be done onsite for game currency.

No problem, that's what I figured! I'm on a few sites like this and in site currency is always king;
I DO offer insight currency, but usually during the summers when I'm off school. I usually advertise them as sales if I do decide to sit down one for a day. (Usually if I want something fancy ehehe)
What would you suggest for prices? I mean, what would you be willing to pay? the prices I have listed are just suggestions, since they're my averages. Every community has such different economies
I'm not sure how the insight currency works either, if you have the time could you let me know the conversion? For example, how many coins equal an American dollar? How many diamonds is equivalent to one dollar?
Thanks so much for helping me out! It's so much easier figuring this stuff out with help :)

First off, let me just say that your art is gorgeous!
Secondly, to help you out, 100 diamonds is equal to USD $1, and on the currency exchange, 1 diamond is worth about 2500 gold (coins) on average. I hope this is useful! Also, I'm pretty sure you could charge quite a lot for your art, just saying :)

Ahhhh Thank you!
I had NO idea how the currency worked here lmao!!
I really appreciate it; I try not to under sell myself... but even at these prices I'm charging for my time. It sucks sometimes selling for less; DeviantArt is pretty well the only place I can sell at a decent rate.

Sienna's pretty right on the dot. ^^
The thing is, is that I'm not sure how many players actually would pay for art. You have amazing quality and it's worth what it's worth in CAD (or USD aha)! However, when you start converting, for example:
Rough Sketch ~= $4, so for example 400 diamonds ~= 1mil
Clean Sketch ~= $20 for example, 2000 diamonds ~= 5mil
Full body, full color ~= $55 for example, 5500 ~= 13.75mil
Sylestia's playerbase is small, and not many of the players easily make that much money in comparison. It'd take me a few days up to two weeks of constant playing to make 1mil, for example, at best (during a fall semester aha). For other players, it may take them longer. ;w;
I can see the fairness in pricing in real currency, but since the art scene here on this site is small, the prices are pretty steep for the average player. They're good for veterans of the game that can manage to save up and stuff. >w<;
I don't think you'll be overworked, and if you stick with those prices, you definitely won't be undersold! (They're worth the price imo) It's just that it may take awhile to garner interest unless there are some lined pockets around. *u*;

I totally feel where you're coming from.
I'm thinking for now I'll create more options, that are cheaper... maybe pre made bases/linearts etc.
It's great that the community is still small though honestly, it's a lot easier to build up returning customers. I'd rather wait around for commissioners than be swarmed with kids who complain about the prices hahah
Thanks so much for your help!
