I was battling Panthero, My two pets were at 23 percent health, Panthero was at one percent. When Panth was at one percent, i used finishing blow, yet it said that my party was defeated, (and notice that when i used finishing blow, that my pets were at 23% health)

I can't really say what happened as battle logs aren't stored once a battle ends. In the future, just take a look at the battle log and it will tell you what happened.
Most likely, the boss went first and I guess defeated your pets, but I have no way of knowing.

i'm 100% sure that the boss didn't go first.
and I wasted 2500 gold. I used all of my potions...

Without a screenshot of the battle log, I have no way of knowing what happened. And as far as I know, there aren't any bugs with the explore system that would have caused that.
In the future when something like that happens, just be sure to take a screenshot of the battle log if something went wrong.
