You can purchase Diamonds with gold on the Currency Exchange (under the Trade tab).
If you "Search for: Diamonds" and click "Search Offers" you can currently see who has Diamonds listed for sale and how much gold they want for them.
If you "Search for: Gold" and click "Search Offers" you can currently see who wants to buy Diamonds and what they're willing to pay for them.
The prices are a bit all over the place at the moment.
If you want to put an Offer in to buy Diamonds with gold, you change the "Sell Currency" to "Gold" put how much gold you're selling (e.g. 250,000) and how many diamonds you want (e.g. 100) and then click "Create Offer" - this will then put you up as wanting to buy diamonds (in the example it would be 100 Diamonds at 2,500 each for a total cost of 250,000).
