I've noticed that I can't sell elixirs/potions in the trade brokers, or mail them to other players.. is there some other way I can sell them to other players?

You can't trade them or give them to other players. The only things you can really do with them is use them yourself or sell them using the Sell Area in your Inventory (which gives you a fixed amount per potion / elixir).
