How to use and is one dye for one section of your pet, or can you dye all your pet with one dye?
Also do you have to go on preview generator or will it show you when you put the colour or colours in?

Pet dyes change 1 slot color of 1 pet. Lesser pet dyes have a decent "swing factor" meaning that the color you choose could swing by some amount of RBG (Red,Blue,Green) to a different color. Greater pet dyes have a small swing factor, so the color you choose is pretty much the color that comes out when you use the pet dye.
To preview what the color would look like on the pet, in advance, use the preview generator by loading the pet image of the pet whose color you want to change.
To use a pet dye:
1. Go to the pet profile of the pet that you want to use the dye on
2. Click the green button that says "Genetic Philter" in the information section.
3. Choose lesser pet dye and choose a color and geneslot for that color to correspond to.

So can you dye a pet more than once, like if you want to dye it fully and not just one trait?

As long as you have the dyes, you can dye your pet in as many places as you want.
