It wont let me add more pets to my party after i already took quest to catch animals and i have caught 3 It still says i need to do that quest, can you help?

I don't really understand what you mean when you say that there's a quest to catch pets (I don't remember that, but maybe I just forgot). Can you please clarify?
However, for adding pets to your party, you will have to unlock new zones and go to the plaza and scroll down until you see the button that says "Expand Party Max". In Esior's Haven you can expand your party max to 2 pets, and in the Sanctuary of Saerielle, you can expand it to three. Currently the maximum number of pets you can have in your party is 3.

The thing is, the quest where Jinxie teaches you how to catch pets is when your able to add them to your party. I did the quest and when I go to the guy he says "You need to learn how to catch animals" and wont allow me to add mine to my party.

This part of the tutorial is a bit confusing, most people (me included) got confused at this part.

the catching of the pet for the quest is actually a scripted event, that does not actually require you to use traps to catch the pet. You need to keep exploring until that event triggers.

What do you mean 'until the event triggers'? is it just delayed and i just need to keep catching animals till it snaps into place?

you just need to keep exploring. battle pets or whatever that comes your way. There is no need to use your own traps to catch pets, unless the game specifically ask you to do so. But from what I remember, you don't need to use your own traps to catch the pet.

Don't be fooled by this quest; you DO NOT need to buy any traps to complete this quest. This is a scripted quest designed to give you a future mate for the pet that you have just created. All you need to do to complete this quest is explore through Trollsbright Caverns. After a couple minutes, a silhouette of a Sylesti will appear in the explore window and there will be a prompt allowing you to catch it or ignore it. You are going to want to catch it. Your new pet will be added to your stables and the quest will have been completed.


Edit: so the net that was given was just to start you off. there's no need to use any nets to finish this quest.

i used the game's net for that one, but after that i use my own.
