JOURNEY THROUGH SYLVANIA

In a world called Sylvania there lived a witch named Tanya. She was practicing her everyday magic when she heard a knock at the door.
So Tanya opened the door only to see no one there. Tanya examined the area a bit. On the way back inside her cottage Tanya tripped on her welcome mat and what was there, none other than a baby.
Tanya looked around for the babys parents but none were in sight. So Tanya took the baby inside with her. She noticed the baby was human.
Tanya hung up lost baby signs all over Buttercup, the town in Sylvania that Tanya lives in. But no one claimed the baby. So Tanya decided it was best to give the baby a safe home so she took the baby home with her. Tanya believed that the baby could not live in a world of magical creatures and not see them. Since the baby was human she couldnt. So Tanya brewed a potion called Tricia to give the baby the second sight, the ability to see magical creatures. She named the baby Tricia after the potion, and Tanya and Tricia lived in peace for now.

Tricia! Tanya yelled. Yes! Tricia yelled back from her bedroom. Come down here we need to talk! Tanya had almost hollered herself hoarse. Tanya was a very loud person due to the fact that she was deaf in one ear. Tricia walked downstairs along with her cat Popcorn. Tricia was twelve now and she had gotten a kitten when she was two years old, they had been best friends forever since then.
Hey Tanya, what do you need to talk to me about? Tricia asked. I am going to the annual witches fair, I will be back in two weeks. Ok but remember to watch out for fi-
Fire. Tanya finished. Tricia its ok, fire isnt the worst thing in the world, think of it as warmth on a cold night or a light, not as something that will burn and scar. Tanya said. Tricia had always been afraid of fire, so she cautioned people who traveled long distance. Tricia said goodbye to Tanya and started to do her morning chores. Tanya had left her magic ruby, it was like a source of magical energy it was designed to do things when people got exhausted or got old, it would help them get things done. With the ruby Tricia had gotten her chores done in no time. A few days passed and Tricia hadnt heard from Tanya. Usually Tanya had wrote to her by now. Tricia knew Tanya wouldnt want her to get worried, so she didnt. And besides Tanya was way too powerful to be seriously harmed. To her surprise Tricia heard a knock at the door.
Grunkle the elf mailman was there. Special delivery. Grunkle said in a crummy way, he chucked the letter at Tricia and walked away. Tricia dug the letter open with all her might. The letter said; Tricia if you are reading this its me Tanya I sent this letter through my mind. Vidia the evil sorceress has captured me. Dont let her-. And the letter was cut off there. Tricia gasped and she went to go sit down. Popcorn had trailed behind Tricia and went to go up close to her head. Then Popcorn leaned over and did something so shocking. He talked, and he said. Lets go save Tanya.
Tricia was too shocked with everything else with Tanya not to ask any questions. So with that Tricia and Popcorn set off on their journey to find Tanya and get rid of Vidia once and for all. They packed very little only what was necessary. Vidia lived in Kaipourain castle not too far maybe two days.
So you can talk. Tricia asked suspiciously. Yes I can, Tanya always knew she told me never to talk to you, she said it might freak you out or something, only very wise cats can talk. Popcorn said. You said Tanya told you never to talk to me, so why are you talking to me now? Tricia asked. I knew I had to, it was an emergency. Popcorn answered. They both said nothing after that they both decided to camp in the woods though, they felt it would be the safest thing.
The next day Popcorn and Tricia had come to a small clearing, they heard an evil cackle and a voice that said: Lets see you get around this! Instantly a mountain that had to be thousands of feet high came into sight. Well this is just great! Tricia yelled angrily. We travel all this way!, this is what we get a giant mountain! Tricia screamed. Well never climb over this mountain! Tricia finished. True we cant go over it. Popcorn said mysteriously. Popcorn! Why are you saying this, you're not making this any better you know. Tricia said. You didnt let me finish, we could go under the mountain, Ive dug pretty deep holes before.
So Popcorn started digging finally he couldnt dig anymore, because he had found a hollow spot. It wasnt just a small spot it was a whole cavern! Tricia look what I found! Popcorn exclaimed. So Tricia and Popcorn went into the cavern. They walked a while through the cavern, but then Tricia heard something. Popcorn I hear something, it sounds kinda like, kinda like sobbing. Tricia said with a worried glance. Tricia and Popcorn started walking toward where Tricia had heard the sobbing. Now Popcorn was starting to hear it too. They neared a slight part of the cavern that shifted left. They now saw something on the rock of the cavern it was a girl sobbing. Tricia approached her. She touched the girl gently. The girl looked up at her she had blue eyes and blonde hair, she had a pale skin tone and very, very small feet. Who are you? The girl asked. My name is Tricia and this is my cat Popcorn. Tricia said. I am Shannon a witch in training, I got trapped down in this cavern when the mountain appeared. The girl said. You are welcome to join us on our journey if you like. Tricia said. Where are you going? The girl asked. To rescue Tanya, shes a friend of mine shes cared for me since I was a baby. Tricia said. Lucky you actually have someone to take care of you my parents died when I was seven. Shannon said. Im sorry, but maybe you can help us rescue Tanya, then I promise you, that you can live with us and Tanya will train you. Tricia said. Tricia I am trusting you. Shannon said then they left the cavern.

Ok only one day until we reach Vidias castle. Popcorn said. Yes! We finally get to see Tanya! Tricia said. Shannon just sat there quietly listening. Tricia thought she was just getting used to a talking cat. Ok so whats the plan for today? Shannon asked. We go towards Vidias castle, theres actually a small motel up ahead the fairies made for travelers to rest. We could head there. Popcorn said. Ok that sounds like a plan. Tricia said. With that they setted off in that direction.
Well the fairy motel is about a mile from here. Popcorn said. But just then a giant appeared in front of them and said; Me work for Vidia, you must be crushed! Everybody run! Popcorn screamed. Just then they heard the giant calling his buddies to come help him and just as it turns out the giants were not very far. So before they knew it five ugly giants were running after them. Just then Shannon turned around. And faced the giants. She said.. Ubber surber cuber toobie!, a noops galdor rabin pofie. Then the giants gave her a mean glance and turned away. What did you just do. Tricia asked. I speak Giantonus. Shannon said. I know many languages from reading spell books that are written in different languages. Shannon said.
Soon they reached the fairy motel and the got three rooms there, one for Popcorn, and one for Tricia and Shannon. Hey Shannon? Tricia asked. Yes Tricia. Shannon responded. Can you teach me magic? Tricia asked. Shannon froze. Tricia I know you are human, I just know it. Magic is very hard to teach humans, why do you think none of them know it? Shannon said. Oh I see, I just thought maybe I could learn. Tricia said. Im sorry Tricia, I really am but I really cant. Shannon said. And with that they all went to bed. In the morning they had come over the horizon on the way to Vidias castle it was less that 45 minutes away. Popcorn, Tricia, and Shannon were prepared for a big battle. When they finally came upon Vidias castle they saw the world darken as if all the happiness had drained from the world. They heard Vidia send down her falcon to come get them. Greetings I a Morgana, Vidias falcon hop on my back I will take you to her. Morgana said. The children and Popcorn really didnt have a choice. So they hopped on Morganas back. Morgana swooped up to the top of the castle where Vidia was. So the children got off Morgana and they first saw Tanya with her hands tied together and inside a cage. They had heard tales of Vidia and when they looked to the right of Tanya they looked face to face with Vidia.
Vidia had black hair and brown eyes, she wore dark purple lipstick and a black and purple robe. Hello little tikes. Vidia said. Were not scared of you! Shannon boomed. Oh really, witch! would you care to duel me? Vidia asked. Yes I dont fear sorceresses! Shannon yelled. Shannon stepped forward with no wand only her hands and Vidia with her staff. Shannon casted a spell that appeared to have listen a hammer off the ground and conked Vidia on the head. Then Vidia casted a evil cloud that rained on Shannon. Then Shannon casted a spell of cats that attacked vidia. Vidia then casted a water blast on Shannon, and Shannon went flying into the wall unconscious. Popcorn went to help Shannon.
Thats it! Tricia said. She walked up to Vidia and screamed in her face. All you are is a coward! Taking on innocent children! A big bully you dont deserve to win! You hurt Shannon! Tricia screamed. Vidia tried to cast a fire blast at Tricia but she took the staff by its handle and flung it to the ground, it snapped in half. I am not afraid of fire any longer! Tricia screamed. Then she punched Vidia in the stomach and threw her off the edge of the castle and into the river. And Vidia was never seen again.
Tanya woke up at home and her hands were broken from the ropes holding them so tight. Shannon, Tricia, and Popcorn were there. And she felt safe. Welcome home! Tricia, Popcorn, and Shannon all said in sync. Tanya just laughed and smiled. Shannon ended up living with Tanya and Tricia, and Tanya adopted Shannon. So it was like Tricia had a sister. The most important part was that Tricia realized that she can do anything she wants with or without magic. And that she was not afraid of anything anymore. |
