Just a quick little thing: Maybe news should be removed from the front page after 2-3 months? The current fourth news thing, about Astryl's Tranquility, has been up there for 29 months, almost two and a half years. This could easily be replaced with the Sylvorpa revamp or info about the upcoming Zolnixi revamp.

When I came to the site that news thing was still up. That was something like six months ago (my account is older, but I created it and let it rot for months). It made me kind of concerned--was this an active site at all? Had the creators left it? Did they stop making updates? Would I be entering a website with no community, pretty much abandoned?

If the news ends up being slow, you could always add a generic thing to the news slider, like "please remember that we are a small site and we run off of diamond purchases, which can buy you essences to create snazzy sylesties" or "check out these popular threads by uses where people show off their favorite sylesties/there's a huge user-run giveaway/etc.!"

Updating the news page would be useful for players on the site (especially those who don't check their pings or want to check the news without logging in) and I'm pretty sure it would help improve the site's image by making it look more active.

I try to keep the news up to date, but it's a bit tedious lol. I didn't really create any tools for myself and have to do it manually.

I think for the revamp, I'll probably just have it connected to the News and Announcements forum and just display the last handful of threads and/or stickied threads. But that's not really something I want to spend time on atm.

But I do agree with you on the points and I do want to improve it going forward.

Okay! I wasn't sure if it was going to be revamped but it's good to know that's planned for sometime in the future :)
