Here I will be writing a story for you sylestians entertainment. Let me speak the tale of Elizabeth, the girl of the meadow magic...Here is how it begins.

Elizabeth was a girl, an ordinary girl. She had long, soft brown hair that hung to her waist. She tied this up in a braid intertwined with daisies from clearings in the woods. She has big brown, gentle eyes unaffected by anything around her. She has smooth, cream colored skin without a blemish which other girls envy. Her lips are like delicate spring petals and her eyelashes are long and dark. Elizabeth was one to look on, she was kind, understanding, gentle, fearless, and caring.
She also had one younger brother, Sam. Sam was a sweet young boy not yet old enough to find joy in annoyance. He has big blue eyes like the sea and sandy blonde hair curly upon his head. Sam enjoys tales of Elizabeth's adventures every night before he sleeps. He finds her a curious girl, and many times questions her stories. "Is it true you've seen the fairs kiss the spring buds to make them bloom?" He would ask. Elizabeth would reply with a soft whisper, telling him some things are magical and some things come naturally, others are just of stories.
These two were very close, like to song birds in a field. They had their manners and did their chores, they snuck midnight snacks and plucked the blooming flowers from their mother's garden, but were overall very nice children. Our story begins in a small town in a wonderful world, a world much like ours. On a bustling street near a corner store there sits a small, old, run down house belonging to a young couple. The house, small and beloved as it was, proved to small for a family of four.
The parents, Terrance and Rosetta, informed their children they would be moving. At first the news had been hard, both children loved their little home, as it was the only home either of them had ever known. For the littlest, it was a fearful thing. He shed many tears, having found comfort from his sister. He did not want to have a new home, not until their parents described this new place.
"Hush, hush Sam," Said Rosetta. "This new house is only a bit larger, it sits on the edge of a grassy meadow. The meadow is bordered by woods, woods full of fresh adventures." The two had become excited, though still nervous. This house sounded quite exciting, they thought.
"The grass is taller than you, Sam! You and I will play hide and seek together okay?" Terrance further comforted his son. After agreeing, the children were told to pack their things. They would be leaving the next morning. Elizabeth was probably the most excited of the household. She would finally have her very own forest. She had read fairytales about them, and how many wonderful things that could be found. She dreamed of finding a magic mushroom, or perhaps a little dragon who lived with the fairies.
Elizabeth believed in magic. She was a very curious girl and full of amazing surprises. She would do anything just to set eyes on magic out of her stories. When the family got all moved into their new home, Elizabeth found her room having a window looking strait out on the meadow leading to the woods. She would press her face to the glass and stare in admiration, as it was winter, the field just looked like a big blanket of white untouched snow, but the powdered sugar sprinkled trees in the distance seemed to call her name. Every day, their parents would tell their children not to step foot in the woods.
Though their usually obedient, Elizabeth didn't see the harm in going into the woods. every morning and night she would gaze at them till she just had to enter. One day, she wandered through the fields under the shade of the tall grass in hopes of exploring the woods. Along the way, Elizabeth finds the snow to feel strangely warmer and warmer the closer to the woods she gets. She doesn't understand this, as everything stays frozen. Soon, she would reveal the mystery's solution.

So once she reached the woods, Elizabeth clambered over the big, thick root of a weeping willow to land in a clearing of mysterious glow. Looking up, she sees, sanding before her, a dazzling array of greens and blues, shimmering, sparkling to take the shape of a fairy. As tall and slender as her mother. Breathless, Elizabeth stays still, frightened.
"No need to be frightened little one," The fairy's voice, as soft as a velvety rose petal. "Did you come into these woods despite your mother's words?" The fairy questioned.
"Yes.." Whispers Elizabeth.
"I have been waiting for you. I know why you came, and I understand you are a curious child, but in return for a view of the magic, you will be cursed for betraying your mother's words." The fairy implies. Elizabeth shudders in fear. "Don't be afraid, it is not a bad curse of the shadows, but you must learn the cost of disobedience." With that, the fairy seems to evaporate into the frosty yet warm air.
For many days and nights, Elizabeth felt no different. She played among the woodland sprites and sprung up with the flowers. She climbed with the forest dragons and swum with the mermaids of the ponds. Elizabeth grew surrounded by a magic she kept secret and in her stories. Everyday she came into the woods without permission, she being the only one to do so, was never found.
All the magic stayed in the woods. Elizabeth, joyous to her heart's content, forgot about the Fairy's curse until her fifteenth birthday. She visited the woods that day after lunch, and felt the ever-warm magical atmosphere of the woods. She took a deep breath in, enjoying the happy day. Then, like the tap of a sewing pin, Elizabeth felt a sudden sharp, yet not violent pain in her right side.
Looking, to her great surprise, she sees a yellow blotch there glowing eerily beneath her skin. It was not sore to the touch, nor was it bumpy or indented. It was simply there, like a freckle or blush. Taking no notice, Elizabeth went on her way of life. Till one day, outside of the woods, she met a boy. She began to think about this boy day and night, and spent less time in those magical woods.
When she did return to the woods, Elizabeth met the fairy again. For a moment, she seemed to only recognize her from a dream. Until she spoke,
"Elizabeth. I have watched you grow up, you have spent most of your life in these woods and the magic grows within you. I warn you, do not bring the magic from the woods or danger will come. Do not bring forth danger to the woods or magic will fall." With that, again, the fairy was swiftly gone. Elizabeth took these words for granted, as the curse never seemed to show.
