So I've been on flight rising a decent time now and I noticed this amazing RP set up they have there. I contacted the person who made the post(who I found out was not the original author), but any who, it was okay with them to use here. ***from InkyBrush on FR***

Since Sylestia is growing and I think more people are fluttering into the rp community here, I'd like to make a mass thread so its easier to find and message people who have similar interests to you! So in other words, this thread is where you can lay out all of your preferences and browse to hopefully find a new partner/partners!

Heres a simple outline to fill out with your preferences.

Literacy// This bit is a fairly important one, in most cases, anyways. I've organized it into the general levels for you, based on my opinion.

Illiterate - 1-3 sentences, not very good spelling/grammar, flat/boring plots.
Basic - 1-2 paragraphs, decent spelling/grammar, somewhat interesting, albeit typical plots.
Semi-Literate - 3-5 paragraphs, very few to no spelling/grammar mistakes, engaging and fun plots.
Literate - 6+ paragraphs, immaculate spelling/grammar, complex, interesting and occasionally confusing plots.

NOTE: This does not have to apply to everyone, this is just from my view. If youd prefer to elaborate on your own specific style, feel free to go right ahead.

Length and Style// Provide how much you like to write in an average reply. Some people are picky and only like longer or shorter replies. Also, include the style you like to roleplay, whether its paragraphs, or more script-style, or anything else.

Interests/Genre// Tell us what sort of roleplays you like to do!

I dont want this place to become a madhouse of insane posting. I'm not limiting you, but try to keep it to a minimum, and if you can, all in one post! This just makes it less cluttered, if you'd understand.

I have given you an organized, easy way to lay out whatever you might need. If I forgot something, you can add it to your form and let me know, so I can perhaps add it to the official one.

I hope this catches on and is helpful to all of you roleplayers out there. I've posted my own as an example below for you to follow.



Literacy// I'm between Semi-literate and literate. I really love detailed responses and huge plots and longer rps. But I'm also okay with my rp partner being basic and up- the only thing I can't handle are 1-3 sentence replies UNLESS it's dialogue. I absolutely love rp partners who are like super literate and write basically what I call reading eye candy- if you don't mind a partner who is slightly less talented, then hit me up, IMMEDIATELY.

Length and Style// I definitely prefer paragraph style and I can go from 3-5 sentences to a small novel if need be. I will try to match my partner or try to write to the length they prefer :3 but I do not like having to meet an exact quota of paragraphs/sentences and I won't hold my partner to that either.

Interests/Genre// Okay this part is gonna get lengthy XD please bear with me!
I will rp feral, anthro, or human, of any gender. Truthfully, I prefer male since I have more experience roleplaying as a male.

As for genres, I like almost anything. But, I almost always want a romance in everything. Yes, I'm a complete sucker for romance! Going without it in a rp makes me feel bland and sometimes disinterested. However, the rp doesn't have to be centered around the romance. I love romances that are developed, worked through, sometimes dramatic and harsh; I don't really like flat, basic stuff. Throw me some angst or depression or other issues as well as adorable fluff like spending time together in fuzzy clothes and blankets with coffee or hot cocoa.

Right now, I would really love to try a steampunk RP. I've never done one, and I think it would be awesome. Also, hit me up if you want to RP Pokemon- I love pokemon, I love doing more realistic style pokemon.

Maturity and Romance// I'm okay with just about anything(guilty pleasure that I almost prefer that romances have more serious stuff like this). I have a few 'oh heck no's, but like I said, they're few in number. I'm definitely okay with the r-18 stuff, as I've rped plenty romantic encounters like that before but I am NEVER okay with******, sexual abuse, or just any non-consensual encounter like that. With violence, I'm okay with it, I just don't like cutting- of like any fleshy parts. BUT I am also COMPLETELY okay with just doing a 'fade to black' type thing where we just skip it but know what happened.

Contact// I prefer flightrising or deviantart PMs, especially if the rp is r-18- that stuff is also strictly against the forum rules to post here. I'm not too certain about Sylestia PMs though(never used them for RP before).

My literacy level depends greatly upon the type of RP. If it's an action dependent one, I'm usually between Illiterate and Semi-Literate. (Example: The Walking Dead) If it's more about feelings and thoughts then actually doing things, I'm Semi-Lierate to Literate. (Example: Mythos High, PRPG Mythos High, And many others...)

Length and Style//

I try to met any minimal requirements made by the creator of the RP. However, I'm sure this happens to everyone, I'm not always at the top of my game when it comes to writing so it might be a little less.

Interests/Genre//

Anything and everything. I'm good with any kind of RP I just love the RPing itself! And I'm good with any type of character (unless they have to be from a movie or show the RP is based off of. Unless it's a movie I like.). However I'm more inclined to join ones with romance.

Maturity and Romance//

I'm good with anything, however I'm only comfortable with the 'fade-to-black' thing but everything leading up to it I'm okay with. In RPs I will never be anything but a Heterosexual character. I will RP with Homosexual character played by other people but I will not be one.

I'm good with what ever the other person(s) want. PMs on this website or on Howrse or in the forums on Howrse. However I prefer the forums on here to all other forms of contact.

I think this is a really good idea! I normally have trouble trying to find people to RP with and I think this is perfect!

I am one of those people who'd like for you to have good grammar in my RPGs if possible. I would rather other people and myself understand what your trying to say in the RP, so probably around Semi-Literate and Literate. I don't mind anything like Basic, but if it's Illiterate and I cant understand it, I may have a little problem.

Length and Style//

I normally write in paragraphs in about 3-5 sentences. Agreeing with Charzarddragon819, I'll write a little bit of a chapter if needed!

Interests/Genre//

I like anything really. Fantasies, School, Adventures, and Tragedy/Drama are the usual genres I like RPing. I don't really like Horror, but I can deal with Mysteries if I really like the plot. I don't mind what type of character you have, just don't make them Mary/Gary-Sues! And agreeing with Bmr, romance is a go!

Maturity and Romance//

I don't like anything that is too passionately romantic. Anything like******, sexual or things like that I'm really not comfortable with. I can deal with gore, as long as it's not too much.

I don't mind what kind of romance you have with your characters, really. :) Anything is fine...

Typically, I tend to fall easily between Lit and Semi-Lit, though recently due to time constraints and life events I'd say I've been skewing more towards the Semi-Lit end. Granted, on a bad day, I will admit I do hit Basic levels length-wise (though grammar/spelling is always around semi-Lit).


Length and Style//
Give me a good amount of words, please! I prefer a partner that writes in paragraphs and not between asterisk, has decent spelling/grammar (no need to be 100% perfect since I typo too but coherency, proper capitalization and a decent grip on the English language is a must) can produce more than one-liners and does not talk in chatspeak. I understand sometimes, there's not a lot to say post-wise (also: we all have off days/brain farts where you got nothing) and in that case I'd much rather take quality over quantity! Sometimes, all you got is a couple lines and that's cool- but I'd much rather prefer a bulk of the posts be more substantial. I personally can vary wildly from having Long Post Syndrome to smaller ordeals but I strive for providing a good amount of content to work with and would like the same in return :3

Also, I vastly prefer 3rd-person writing style. 1st person doesn't flow right for me and I personally find it jarring to work with in the format of a roleplay xP

Whatever you're comfortable with! Though I tend to run the more "mature" end, it's not the end-all be-all. I can easily adjust to whatever my partner prefers, be it more PG or NC-17. Fade to black? Totally understandable! Power through it? I'm game! This goes for violence AND romance (and language too, I guess? I've never had to star out curse words save for on censored forums since it disrupts the flow to see little asterisks but, you know... if you would prefer it, I can try it).

Romance types are fairly open as well- straight, gay, anything in between! I play mostly males (familiarity, go!) but I got some ladies and non gender binary types as well. I've been roleplaying for some time so I've accrued quite the cast!

Oh! Only major restriction is... no non-consensual stuff. Due to... reasons, it makes me all squirmy-uneasy in my tummy :c

I do a lot of creative writing by myself, so I'd be at least semi-literate in relation to grammar. My plots would probably be between basic and semi-literate due to my newness to RPs. The length and detail of my writing is going to be dependent on the standards and style of the other RPer, but is currently at a basic level.

I just try to meet or exceed the length expectation of the other roleplayer/s. I'll usually write a paragraph or two regardless. I prefer to write in third person, but I'll write in first person if the other roleplayer is.

I like to think my writing is at least semi-literate. Length-wise, my roleplaying is at the basic level of literacy. I try to be detailed and make the rp fun and interesting, but all my writing is dependant on the genre and type of roleplay.

Length and Style//

At the minimum, I try to make my posts at least two chapters. Ive found my writing to be short (not as short as a chapter in a James Patterson book, but its still short). Third person is very much preferred, but Im open to experimenting with first-person as well.

Interests/Genre//

Im fine writing for almost any genre. There are, however, a few that I would prefer to avoid (Romance, every-day life, school, etc). I like to RP characters who are humanoid, but have something different about them, like furries, mutants, and a majority of common fantasy creatures. Ive RPd characters of both genders, and am fine writing either.

Maturity and Romance//

I will not roleplay anything romantic. Casual flirting is fine, but nothing more. Violence, on the other hand, is perfectly fine. Ill be as violent as the situation demands. (This is coming from someone whose favorite superheroes are Wolverine and Punisher.)
