i got esior's powerful armor from completing a quest. so i go to my inventory and then switch to equipment, click on it, but the "use item" button is still grey, not blue. my pet's level is 4 atm but the req level for this item is level 0. in fact, all the equipment in my equipment is level 0, but i cant equip my pet with any of them. the use item button is always grey. maybe i'm doing something wrong?

You have to click the equipment, then click to the respective slot on your pet (which should be below your inventory on the same page). You don't use the "Use Item" button. :)
