I see this word used a lot and used to label stable tabs but i have no idea what it means and can't seem to figure it out.

Short for miscellaneous..

miscellaneous (adjective)
1: consisting of diverse things or members
2a : having various traits
2b : dealing with or interested in diverse subjects
