When I'm battling there are only two attacks is can choose from and they both say magical damage. How do I get moves that are affected by strength?

The type of damage your pet does basically depends on whether the strength or the intelligence is higher. Whichever is higher will be used.

So if your pet has higher strength over intelligence, it'll use a strength-based attack. If your pet has a higher intelligence, it'll use a magical-based attack. A pet can't use both physical and magical attack.


So when level-ing your pet and giving it equipment, add to either strength OR intelligence, not both, since they can't be used together. And make sure the proficient tree it uses matches the strength or intelligence, whichever you chose. Find equipment that increases the stat that you choose as well. This will make your pet more efficient in fighting.
