I've noticed that some people have been talking about making custom items (to me, it sounds like they're recoloring some avatar items). I was wondering how you make these, and what the Custom Orders tab in the Avatar Shop does.

Yup, they're pretty much just recoloring. :)

1. Go to the Monthly Avatar Item thread for the respective month and download the .psd files.

2. Have a program that can open and color the files (i.e. Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, FireAlpaca, etc).

3. Open the folders of what you want to color, then use the program to color it in.

4. Save as a .png file with a transparent background (no white background on the picture).

5. Upload to an online image host (i.e. imgur, photobucket, tinypic).

6. Send the .png file (URL from the image host) to Krinadon via the instructions in the Monthly Avatar Item thread (in step 1). c:

edit: Not sure if it's to be said, but the community has some players that can do the coloring, designing, and uploading of customs (basically steps 1-5) for you if you somehow can't do it yourself (i.e. don't have the right program or can't download one, or would like to ask for someone else's expertise). There are threads that have that service in the Custom Items Sales and Discussions forum. :)
