Okay, not so much of a newb anymore, but I have a question that I've been wondering about for a while. What is the point of nurturing your egglings/hatchlings? Does it simply speed up development time? Does it boost stats? What is the max/ideal number of nurtures for a pet? Is it better to let the pet develop through nurtures, or use a magical pie? Should one save the use of pies for adolescents only?

Basically, if someone could enlighten me on any/all of those points and/or provide related information or links to where I can find such information, I would appreciate it. I just got my first wheel pet and want to raise it right!

Nurturing egglings/hatchlings speed up their growth time, and increases stats. For eggs it takes about 5 clicks to increase the age by an hour. Not too sure, so don't quote me. =/
Not sure how many clicks it takes to increase stats.

There is no max/ideal number of nurtures. The max number in a way is restricted in that each player can only nurture the same eggling/hatchling once every 24 hours. The more nurtures your pet has, the faster it'll grow, and it'll have slightly more stats than other pets without nurtures. But it's not necessary to have nurtures. =P

You can only use magical pies on adolescents, so you can develop a pet through both nurtures (only for egglings and hatchlings) and pies (only adolescents).

Hope these helps. =)

Nurturing can only be done on eggs and hatchlings. For eggs, it speeds up development time by 1 hour for every five clicks.
After the egg has hatched, you'll then be able to see the base stats of the pet. During this time (roughly a 5-6 day period) you can nurture to increase its base stats and to continue it's growth. The type of nurture it will ask for depends on its lowest stat.

Working Out With- Strength
Reading a Book- Intelligence
Feed- Health
Playing- Dexterity
Racing- Agility

(Someone correct me if I got these mixed up please?)

Not sure on the max amount of nurtures, nor do I think there is an ideal number of nurtures as there is a base stat cap and eventually you'll hit it if you stat breed enough. (2000 heath and 100 in all other stats).

You can't use a magical pie on a hatchling, so that crosses out the last of your two questions I think. It's ideal, in my opinion at least, to prismatic philter (Increases health by 200 and all stats by 10) a wheel pet and try to get nurtures if you can. ;)

Great, thanks to both of you for the detailed replies! Good to know, and I'm glad I bought a prismatic philter for my CC Aeri baby!
