I have gotten the feeling that I have managed to stuff up something, somewhere.

I know that it's irrational, and I know that Sylestia isn't the site where you actually CAN stuff anything up.

I hate it when I get like this, but the felling thing just keeps niggling at me.

I get like this in other games as well.

The feeling will just keep niggling at me and getting stronger, until I either re-set my account progress or re-register and abandon this account.

If I try to continue, it WILL (and I know this first-hand) get to the point where it'll become 'why bother' and I'll end up abandoning the site (like I did some of my favorite games, until I re-set them).

I don't want to abandon the site, it's more fun then some of the games I have.

Any advice (or if you just want to yell at me) about this issue would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time and my sincerest apologies for being such an annoying pest with this issue.

There is no way to reset or delete an account at this time. It's also against our ToS to manage more than 1 account per person.

May I ask what specifically you're bothered with? We intentionally make Sylestia very flexible where virtually every aspect of your account can be changed/improved in some way.

If you don't like your pets, you can just create or find new ones. If you don't like their builds, you can just change them. In regards to names, they can be changed. You can change your avatar at any time.

Other than that, the longer you play the more your account will progress. More currencies, more items, more equipment, more stable space, etc. Restarting would only put you back at 0 and you would lose all of that progress.

I'm not really bothered with anything specific, it's just the feeling that I've done a major stuff up.

When I get like this, I tend to just re-set everything back to 0 and then start over again.

I know that Sylestia can't really be stuffed up, but that (really irrational) niggling feeling at the back of my mind doesn't really care.

I'll see if I can't stick it out, but I would really rather prefer to do a complete re-set and start over again.

Sorry for being such a bother, seriously. I know you probably have better stuff to do then listen to me, but thanks for taking the time. I'm grateful.

Hi Chaosbalance!

In the past I've had to give up some stuff I've really enjoyed, for reasons different from yours. The reasons were ones that I felt like I really needed to analyze for myself because I would be giving up something that I had found enjoyable and fulfilling in the past and I wanted to make sure it was worth it. You definitely sound like you have done some thinking about what was going on with you, which made me really interested in your situation. When you say your feeling is irrational, I wonder if giving up Sylestia would be worth it for you. Sometimes when I have irrational stuff going on with me it takes some digging to find out the root cause of the irrationality, or root feelings related to it, 'cause even though I am pretty self aware sometimes there are many different layers to a situation that need exploring. But when I find the root cause I generally feel better because I know that even if the way forward isn't easy, there is at least a path. I like knowing the next step even if it takes me a while to get to the end.

Anyway, I am quite tired and I apologize if this is just rambling. You seem really sweet and I'd hate for you to be unhappy. I'd like to offer you a virtual hug, and tell you that although you know that Sylestia can't really be messed up, it is maybe more important to think about how, if somehow you had messed up, it would be okay. You don't have to be perfect in a game or anywhere and there are still lots of wonderful beautiful amazing things ahead of you <3

Thanks for the message. I appreciate it.

The irrationality isn't to do with getting things perfect the first time. I may be a completionist, I have to make sure that I don't permanently miss anything (which is hard to do here, since so many things get re-released during sales).

The feeling that I have stuffed up somewhere, somehow, is irrational. I haven't missed anything, I am only up to the point of the capture quest in the tutorial.

Still I get the feeling that I've made a big mistake....................

Aw don't feel that way! Just as Krinadon said, you can change almost any aspect of your account if you're unhappy with it!

I understand the feeling, often I will start over on console games (not so much on the computer). I don't know how many times I've restarted Pokemon White without even beating it first. I've created countless Skyrim characters as well. The feeling of a new account is just nice.

Unfortunately, also mentioned by Krin, you can't restart here, nor can you create more than 1 account. I hope you don't give up on this game, it's so addicting and fun.
