This is a very specific forum bug with templinkreplace. The BBCode for linking is 100% correct; however, links will do a templinkreplace despite this at times.

This bug occurs when:
- The same link is used twice in one post
- AND the linked text or image differs

In my example below, both links lead to my starter pet, the Sylvorpa. The link is used twice, but links the same thing--therefore there is no error.

In this second example, both links lead to the Puffadore, but they link different images.

[TEMPLINKREPLACE][/url]

If I add more links AFTER a broken link, they link to the wrong things. So, let's say I linked to a ny'vene, and then a faelora, and then a luffox. The previous ryori image would link to the ny'vene (and would no longer say templinkreplace), the ny'vene image/text would link to the faelora, the faelora would link to the luffox, and the luffox link would break.

This has been consistent in multiple posts and edits I have made. It only happens when I use the same link twice to link different things.

I've seen Krin respond to this by saying to add a #1 or #01 or #anything at the end of a URL, to make the URL different.

You're right that it's caused by the usage of the same link multiple times in one post, and using #1 at the ends makes each link unique. It won't actually affect the link's location in question though, so it's a good temporary fix.

I'll try to find the quote where Krin says this, if he doesn't respond to this already. o:

Sorry to ping you again, but here's a post from Krin, kinda saying the same thing in a similar thread. ;w;

I think that happens if you use the exact same link multiple times. I'll have to figure out a solution next time I work on the forums, but for now, there's nothing I can do.

if you need the same link multiple locations, just add #randomstuff at the end of the link. It won't change where the link goes, but it will be considered a different link so it won't break.
