I was wondering ....

How many of you have a "RELIGION" or similar but you actually live based on what you believe and are not a random believer of a random theory.

For example a persoon can be three things in their life when speaking about x or y religion/beliefs.

1- You believe firmly in something and live your daily life based on those beliefs.

2- You believe in something but still live your life how you want it to be, even if it's not based on your beliefs.

3- You believe in nothing at all except for what you can see, touch and smell and live accordingly.

I'm not wondering which belief just wondering if anyone believes anything at all.

Ill start with myself...

I'm choice #1, believe and live based on that.

I believe I am a 1- but I am curious how the rest of the survey goes.

I feel like I'm floating somewhere between 2 and 3, but for the sake of the poll we'll go with 2.

It has to do with my mental health more than anything, its sort of a day by day thing.

Hmm for the sake of your poll! I'm a solid three, unless you count believing in the forces of mother nature. Although that comes less from needing to be able to see/touch/etc something to believe in it, since I definitely believe in ghosts and such, and more from the idea that if there is an intelligent something controlling things, I hate them for everything that's been done to myself and my family for no reason whatsoever.

I guess I'd be a 3.
I've been part of many different religions (though mostly just forms of Christianity) and none have really seemed right to me, so I've yet to find beliefs to really devote myself to, though I am open to it.

Definitely a 3, if you extend that to anything which can be observed empirically, and not just necessarily by our own (limited) senses. Can you tell I'm a scientist? (And an atheist?)

3, in that I don't follow any faith based reasoning.

If doesn't have to be faith based..... for example science

A number 1 in science would believe and live by it to death haha
and a number two woule be someone almost common who can't deny the advances of science but also doesn't agree with some unproven theories like what's behind a black hole or how far the universe goes or maybe life origin since no one was there either, big bang theory its a theory you can believe by faith, cause really no matter how science wants to explain it no one was there to prove it, nor anyone has seen the end of the universe either.

Its a poll mostly to measure if people live by their beliefs or not.

I've seen peolle who don't live by anything faith or literal and they are mostly prople without goals or desires of anything.

I said I was number one cause I believe in something but ALSO adjusted my live to live by that belief.

Some years ago I was number two, believed in something but I did not lived like I did believe in anything.

And number three never, I've always believed in something.

There's a certain guy in my neighbor who doesn't believe in anything faith based nor he does believe in science, he says science is the one making the sicknesses to also make the cures and profit from it.
