Is there a way to block users from buying your pets or from sending you messages? I have someone who is consistently buying the hatchlings I have for sale, raising the price sometimes as much as 10 times, and reselling them. I know - "They bought it, it's theirs, do what they want, wah, wah, wah" Fine. It's annoying, but fine. But now she's messaging me to "check out the pets for sale in my hatchery."

No. Just no.

I price my pets low because when I was starting out it was really frustrating seeing all these beautiful pets that cost thousands, which I couldn't afford. I wanted to help out some new players with easier prices. Should I just drop that idea?

The block system isn't fully comprehensive yet, unfortunately. If a player pings you, you can block them from sending you future pings (there's a button next the ping itself to do this).

You can also add a player to your block list via the Social Network under contacts. Switch to the blocked option and add their username. But I'm not sure if that blocks PMs or not - I honestly can't remember. It will block instant messages via cometchat though.

As for selling pets, no there's no way to do that and I don't think that'd be something we would add. You can sell pets to specific players though if you want to go about it that way.

Edit: As a reminder though, you can always ask said player to stop sending you messages. If they continue, it can be considered harassment in which case you should let us know and we can investigate.

I believe there's a way to block users from sending you mail. when they send you a mail, there's a sign at the top right corner. Clicking that should block all mails from the user. (I'm not sure if it works cause I've never done it before).

When it comes to buying pets, you can't block a specific user from buying if it's up for public sale.
What you can do is to not put your pets for public sale, and make a thread telling new users about your pets. And when the new users want your pets, then you set them up for their ID, so only they can buy the pet.
Though the problem with this method is that if new users don't check the forums, they won't know about it. =/

(It is kind of rude to buy other's pets and resell them at a higher price, but people do do that, and that's nothing much we can do to stop them =/ )

You can block a person from sending you a message by going to the message they sent you and clicking on the red circle with a "/" through it icon.

When the user buys the pet, it is theirs to do with what they please~ it may not please the person they're buying from, but it's not technically wrong of them to do. You could inform them that the pets are for newer users if you'd like? I realize there are sometimes when ignoring another user would be best, but I also don't think trying to work something out first does any harm~ I've gotten into disagreements with multiple users over different pet games and became friends with them after messaging them and breaking the ice. ;) You never know~

As much as it bugs you, you can't really stop them or anyone else in the future from buying pets for public sale at 1 gold. It might be best to make a giveaway thread for new folks with pets you're interested in selling them for cheap to start them out~

Thanks for the answers, everyone.

It's frustrating seeing a pet I sell for 50 or 100 priced at 2000, but I can deal with it. The part that really bugs me is that she actually messaged me advertising them for sale. Like to sell them BACK to me. I was kind of afraid if I did write her back about it (asking her not to message me, or to tell her they're priced low for newbies) I might be a bit... less than polite. I'm not in a very good mood right now and the little winky smilie at the end of her message threw me over the edge. I figured a more passive response (blocking messages) would get me in less trouble. :X

this happened to my sister several times, once she sold a pet for 5000 cause she wanted to help newbies, then someone buys them and sells for 50000 to 100000
