I'm not sure if it's been answered before(too many pages to look through) but I was wondering when it comes to catching special pets during the festivals, does one need the regular traps or the master trap to catch them? Apologies of this has been asked already.

Any kind of trap works c: They function exactly like regular pets in that regard. They can be caught by traps that correspond with their rarity.

Themed pets are pretty much the exact same as other wild pets, just different colorations, so all the regular trap types work on them. The only kind of themed pet you won't find is common, all themed pets have at least 1 carried trait.
