Avast ye scurvy dogs! It be talk like a pirate day.

I like pirates. I like contests. I have too many things. So I decided to do a couple events with a pirate theme to them for the treasure that is talk like a pirate day. _{Disclaimer: Pirate speech may be terrible. :D}


Ye first challenge, ye stinkin' landlubbers!

The first contest (and consequently, the one I'm the most excited about,) is to design for me your most creative pirate themed avatar. You can make anything, a pirate, a privateer, the ocean, a ship, a lemon, a famous figure. Anything. Go hog wild, but explain what your avatar is, and why you chose it. (You do not need to own the items used to create your avatar.)

I'm afraid there will only be one winner for this contest, but that winner will receive an egg (the first egg, in fact!) from my Island Flower Aeridini couple.



Ye second challenge, ye bloody scalawags!

The second contest I'll be running is for the best (read: my favourite) pirate story you can come up with. Please do not take a story that already exists and change it, unless you're going to change it a LOT. There will be no limit or minimum to characters for the story, and the only thing I ask is that you keep it appropriate for Sylestia. :) (Even though real pirates would never be, hehe.)

The first place winner will receive the offspring of any two themed I own (excluding my IF Aeri couple.)
The second place winner will receive their choice of any non legendary (or wheel) Spring themed pet I own.
And the third place winner may choose either a free breeding with my 1 vis 4 carry female Aeridini.

Or an offspring from my 4 carry Bulbs.


If I have a runner up because I just love too many stories, they can receive what is left. If anyone wishes to claim a different prize, they may. The choosing order will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd though, naturally.

I may do a pirate themed pet contest later, but that would be a big if. I don't feel like I have a good enough prize to give out for it. :) If anyone is very interested in making this happen, you can talk to me and we can try to come up with a good prize for such an event.

As of now, the contest will end in either three days, or when we have at least five-ten entries each in each contest. Whichever comes second!
