I was thinking, that a cool Philter, would be one called:
PHILTER OF SPECIES SWAPPING!!(this would be where the species it changes into would go)
anyway, what it does is change the species! say for example,
I had a one vis aeri, and I bought a PHILTER OF SPECIES SWAPPING!(Griffi)
This:
Would turn into this:
and that's pretty much all! (pretty sure there are a million ideas like this)
thanks for looking at this!!

Unfortunately, I don't think this would really be possible given how the gene and mutation slots are set up. Say you wanted to switch a 6 vis Zolnixi to a 6 vis Lunemara, for instance.
So, if your Zolnixi had option 9 in G1, options 2-5 in G2, options 3-9 in M2, or options 2-6 in M3, then at best it would default to the most recessive option on the other type. What would probably actually happen would be that the code would just interpret those spaces as blank (the same as if you fill in a spot with a letter that doesn't have anything linked to it yet) and you could be left with a 2 vis until more genes and mutations were released (and not necessarily ones you would like).
-->
This issue can be seen across pretty much any species change that could happen as all species have differing numbers of traits in each slot. (I chose Lunemara simply because they have very few options in three slots to illustrate my point best.) It's a nice idea if each species had the same number of options in each spot, but since they don't, I'd see this as causing an awful lot of headaches when you could just buy an essence and create a new pet with the same colours as the one you'd want to switch (especially since an item of this type would probably be a diamond item anyway).
edit: add pictures for reference

As mentioned above, this wouldn't be feasible. It'd also be a bit game breaking in my opinion and I wouldn't like to make it so easy to customize pets even if it were feasible. Sorry. =P

Agreed. Plus, what would being able to change the species do to the linage? I know that you can't use a genderswap philter on a bet that's been bred, but changing the species would be rather confusing.
I'd say that if this happens- if you like the colors on a pet but want it to be a different species- just get an essence. I'm doing this now.
This is my Regal:
I was lucky enough to be online when that funky Aeritari image swap occurred and this is what my Regal turned into:
[I discovered a little...hack where you can change the species in an image just be swapping out the species name in the link x3]
I love this! So much, that I dropped 500K on an enhanced essence. I haven't created him because I'm pretty lazy when it comes to inputting all of those HEX values, and I'll maybe mess around a little with the traits.
