I was chatting with a friend using the bottom bar thing and all of a sudden my chats just would not send anymore. After a minute or so it finally worked again but none of the chats that I tried to send before were there. It might have been lag but then wouldn't the chats that i tried to send before be there as well?

There are some known issues with the Comet Chat service that we use. Unfortunately, I'm unable to do anything to it or debug it. It's just something we have to manage with until I'm able to code in our own chat service.
If there are issues, you can try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. Other than that, there's really nothing that can be done.
