I found an abandoned egg a little while ago(my 3rd one, woo!), and as I went to pick it up, some bandit with a death wish smashed it.
Needless to say I wrecked him. This ever happened to anyone else? ;___;

Yup~ There's always the chance that you might not get the egg. T_T
I've had a bandit and a parent pet come in an kill an egg before. Made me very sad both times.

Yeah, periodically when you pick up an "abandoned" eggling, something will attack you (usually a "parent") and the egg will be smashed. It only happens every few egglings, but it does happen.

I have had an egg's "Parent" attack me only to actually have the enemy be a bandit. I always found this hilarious.
