I've been trying to edit a post in this thread to add another baby to our offspring list, but the links keep coming out as:
[TEMPLINKREPLACE]image/words[/url]

I've checked them over an over again and even copied an pasted from ones that work, but I can't fix it!

It's getting very frustrating. :(

This happens if there's a broken link somewhere in the post - the last link will end up like that.

You'll have to look through your post and find where a link is written incorrectly.

I'm sure it's not a broken link, because I've checked them all twice and they all work except for the one with 'Templinkreplace'.

There is however a link that is redirecting to the wrong pet page despite the HTML link being copied and replaced several times. It's the correct page address and the link is set up the same way as all the others, but for some reason it doesn't want to work properly. :(

It's the third post, links for the second last pet, labeled 'Wifftly'. The link keeps sending me to the most recent offspring's page, not the parent's page, despite the fact that I directly copied and pasted in the correct web address into the HTML.

Even though I'm on a phone aha

Care to copy the post's coding in question into a public pastebin? I'd like to see the coding for myself. c:

Took a few minutes, had to open an account. Here it is.

The weird link in question is on line 104.

The links I can't get to work at all are on lines 114 & 117.

Thank you for taking a look. Hopefully you'll have better luck figuring it out, 'cause I'm just about at the end of my rope with this weirdness.

Seems the issue is due to how the parsing is coded.

The issue is with the link to Whifftly I believe. The code is trying to replace the same url= link in multiple places, however the text inside the link is different in various places. This causes the bug.

It isn't exactly an easy fix... I'd have to restructure the parsing.

However, in the meantime, you can easily get around this by making each link unique. See example below:

[ url=http://www.sylestia.com/alink/]Some Text[ /url] (original)
[ url=http://www.sylestia.com/alink/#1]Some Text[ /url] (variant 1)
[ url=http://www.sylestia.com/alink/#2]Some Text[ /url] (variant 2)
etc...

The #w/e won't affect the link.

IT WORKED! :D

Thank you for looking into this. ^^ It was driving me nuts.

Though, I am sorry that it will be hard for you to fix. :/
