Well, a pet seller called Firepepper put out an ad that she wanted to sell a four trait pet, and had a price I could live with, so I went to go buy it. Turns out it wasn't for sale. Fine. I can try to work with mistakes, right?

So I told her that and she put up a link. Wasn't even the same pet. Told her that and told her I wasn't going to waste any more time on her. So then she sends ping after ping after ping...tells me I'm rude because I won't bother with it anymore.


I just want to block the player because I really don't like people who give me the run around, then whine when I only want to buy the advertised pet and she's getting on my nerves. Thing is, I'm 51, not a teenager and her responses make me wonder if she thinks I'm a lot younger...and she can talk me into something.

Not happening. It's a lot easier if I can just get rid of the pest. I don't really want to make it official and report her but if she bugs me too much more I'm probably going to.

I saw that thread during you two's discussion and I'm looking at it now, and I've got be honest, I'm not sure where you're coming from.
In Firepepper's original post, she doesn't link to any pet. Troublesome, yes, but her User level is only 29. It takes some time to learn what all one can do on this site, yes?
You said that [a] pet isn't set up for trade. She apologizes, even posts a link to the Vulnyx that she was talking about.
Your second comment in the thread consists of you calling her out for something and then shutting down. She then suggests that there might have been some confusion about the Vulnyx in question.
Your third comment is you voicing the assumption that caused the confusion, pointing out her mistake [which she apologized for], saying that the pet that she linked had no traits [the link I click brings me to a Vulnyx that has the traits that she listed], and then say that you're going to block her.
Her next few posts make a lot of sense. She didn't post a link to a pet, let alone a named female with one visual and four carried traits. She then apologized again.
I may be an outside onlooker, but I'm not seeing any ground for you to stand on. The original post was vague, and Trouble Dressed in Pink is awfully pretty, but a mistake was made somewhere, the mistake was not dealt with, and this is escalating faster than it ever needed to.

Pretty sure there's no way to ignore/block a person as of yet. By ping or post. I've looked.

AP is gathered through participating on the site, and is used to buy items from the wardrobe. You don't have to go out of your way to gather it, you'll pretty much get it doing whatever.

... and while you could try to report Firepepper for whatever, anyone who reads the thread would be able to see that you really don't have a leg to stand on. Your best bet is to politely accept a mistake was made and move on.

All possible misunderstandings and wrongdoings aside.

There is no way to block pings or messages from any user by yourself. If think someone is mass-sending pings for the sake of harassing you it will be very apparent to Krinadon if you raise the issue with him (via private message).

Advancement points are used to buy basic items in your wardrobe. Things like different eyes and different styles of hair. Advancement points are accumulated through completing quests in the world of sylestia, breeding pets and nurturing pets.

I think you should take a step back and re-read that thread. You should maybe simmer down some and remember that this is a game, and a lot of the people here are kids, or at least young adults. You totally blew up at an unsuspecting person for your own mistake. The pink pet you mention does not have the same traits that were listed, and they aren't all carries as was specified. Her multiple posts read clearly as her being flustered and possibly upset because she doesn't really get what just happened. If you do anything at all at this point it should be to apologize to that user for the misunderstanding, she has done nothing wrong.

What the other people are saying is accurate. The pet-seller never said it was the pink one for sale, and the blue pet and the traits she posted matched up. She did not ping you repeatedly to be rude, she did so to explain herself. Also, you were quite rude in the thread to her. When she apologized for not having the pet link up, and having him not for sale, you IMMEDIATELY retailated with "Nice try but that's not even the same pet. I'm not answering anymore of your pings." You did not ask, "Hey.. I thought you were selling the pink one?" What you said was very distinctly hostile and it made no sense to the seller. With her many pings she was just trying to become /less confused/. When you said "Here's more honesty for you. I'm about to BLOCK you." That, in itself, is rude. You did not let her explain herself. Honestly, if someone said something similar to me in real life, my first reaction would be to slap them. It's rude, it's inconsiderate, and it's just plain wrong. You don't speak to people that way.

Also note, while you claim you are 51, many of the people on this site claim to be teenagers. Children. Which means you need to tolerate mistakes and not immediately assume things, as well as be open minded. Being 51 doesn't make you entitled in any way. I myself am only 16 - which means that DESPITE my age, I demand respect. I demand that nobody thinks themselves better or entitled because they were older. And it seems to me that you feel entitled to have everything near perfect due to being 51, because in every complaint on every site I see you on you mention your age, and sometimes you have your age in your username. This does not seem mature to me.

I do ask for your forgiveness if this offended you. To offend is not my intention; my intention is to help enlighten you on the situation as well as give you insight on how I viewed and read the situation here. Hopefully this will prevent such incidents in the future. AGAIN. This is only how I see things. I may be completely wrong, because that's not how you meant to appear to me. If so, I beg of you to correct me. I dislike assuming things about people and when it comes to that, I'd much prefer to be corrected.

Also, if anything here doesn't make sense - I'm tired and I'm kind of just pouring out my thoughts here - please ask me to clarify.
