The hatchling and eggling were not fathered by Apple Flower, even when you chose Apple Flower as the pet to be bred with when breeding with someone else's female.
Instead, the father is another of your males.

Is that right?

I use a laptop and a desktop to play and I've noticed that when using my laptop, if I scroll through the drop down menu with the down arrow or pick the pet by selecting the box and typing the first letter of their name then sometimes it doesn't load the right one. It works just fine on my desktop that way.. different browsers and operating systems though. I've seen this in both breeding and while picking missions.

Perhaps the same idea is happening to you? I'd suggest click on the drop down menu and selecting the desired pet with your mouse.. not by letter or with the arrows.. I haven't had the same issues on my laptop since I started doing it that way.
