I am very curious about how much my CCP, Katsu Ken'ichi would be if I ever (like that would ever happen) decided to sell him.
This is him. He is 3 vis and has 56 and counting children on the site:
My question is this: I know they weren't very popular (and probably still aren't) but he IS a tagged wheel pet. How much do you think he's worth in (gold or diamonds)?
Just to clarify: I AM NOT SELLING HIM. I AM ASKING FOR A PRICE CHECK OUT OF CURIOSITY. If this thread needs to be moved, then please move it to the correct forums.

I would look for more than 2m in gold or the equivalent in diamonds. o:
1m is a total steal.
Auctions of course would bring out the true price.

Thanks for the input! :) Sadly, that's not much compared to how much I've seen other wheel pets go for, but considering the popularity, I guess that's to be expected. ^^;

You really won't know the price unless you actually want to sell him. xD
All I know is that I bought my own 3vis choco cherry male puff on an auction for the autobuy of 1m.
That means the seller was content to automatically sell it for 1m. I may not have been content to sell such a pet at just 1m, or another user may not have been quite so picky, and neither may you. In fact, two other users would have AB'd that puff if I hadn't.
So it really depends on how much you want to let go of him, and sometimes when you start negotiating with someone, you'll get a feel for the price. It's a price that will make you happy, or you wouldn't want to make the deal, y'know?
It also goes without saying that it depends the species and rarity of the spawn, regardless of wheel.
Puffs are the ONLY wheel pet (besides Luffoxes from Week of Love) that ISN'T fabled. Thus, breeding them to get to multi-traits is much easier (only 3 days for females to recover), and maybe that's why their gold value may not be as high as fabled-everything-else.
I also looked at some numbers.
There are 32 chocolate cherry puffs, compared to
29 monarch puffs,
15 chilly paws puffs, and
15 irish luck puffs.
That, and maybe some people don't have the affinity to brown and pink themes compared to others. (No offense to the chocolate cherries, but it makes sense that people might like light blues and greens of chilly paws or blacks and oranges of monarchs. I personally like choco themes, such as the Chocolate Fudge Lighira, and yes, the Chocolate Cherry Puffs.)
I honestly think every wheel pet in their own right fetches a fair amount of gold. If you asked me, there's tons going for your boy. It's a 3vis, IT'S BODY IS COVERED (the weakpoint of several wheel pets is that their bodies tend to be bland if it lacks a gene that covers themselves up and looks admirable), and it's a puff, and who doesn't love puffs?
c:
If you want real advice, I would either tell you to sell him now or love him now. I would tell you to wait for his price to appreciate 4 festivals down the road, if he doesn't rub off on you already. But he's so adorb.
I know you're "just curious" and you don't intend to sell him (if you do, there WILL be people that want to buy him, but it's up to you to establish his price, just be aware that you may end up keeping him if you price him in a way that buyers will be wary), but don't worry about popularity. c: I think winning a wheel pet is quite a blessing, especially a 3vis.

Thanks so much for the words of wisdom and the input! :) I really appreciate what you had to say about him (and the pricing in general!) it answered a lot of questions.
I guess ultimately, in the end, I'll never really know how much he is unless I decide to sell him. But since that'll never happen, I'll never know. XD I'll just be happy with him being mine.
Thanks so much again!
