This seems to be the one function of the site that still leaves me utterly clueless. I can tell that I have two task log slots unlocked....but I can't seem to figure out what they're for. What is it?

You can't use it until you get into the third region, Astryl's Vale. Once you unlock Sweet Blossom Orchard, you can visit the Task Board in Ethernia to accept tasks - it's like the new version of the Quest Board. :)
