Some of the Puffadores are 30-40k or 30 badges to 100 badges. I'm wondering, what kind of stats should I expect from a Puff that's 400k versus a 30k Puff? Is it even worth it with bred Puffs being much cheaper?

The more the puff costs the more traits it has. I'm not sure if the stats are raised, I think it's based only on gp points but don't quote me. :) Maybe someone else can give you a better answer??

Also, I believe it was said somewhere that puffs costing badges are more superior than those costing gold.

Unless you really want a puff from the puff shop, it's probably more beneficial to buy one from another player.
