Hi there everybody! I have a few questions about breeding and genetics

First of all: How do you get more genetic scanners?

Second: what happens when i breed two pets who both have marking 1, but they are different markings? I did the breeding test on my two pets, one of which has lucky runes, the other has galactic runes, and every single offspring (I tested at least 25 times) turned out with lucky runes. Is there a dominance for these things?
(I read the breeding guide and it helped answer a lot of my questions but did not really make this one clear to me)

Third: can you do test breedings with others' pets? If so, how?

Edit: another question... This isn't strictly genetics but does have to do with egglings.
Can you use more than one Philter of (nimbleness, acumen, etc) on an eggling when it is ready to hatch?

1)Genetic scanners and test kits can either be bought from the trade broker, or if you wait, they can be prizes from our wheel during festivals.
If you want the exceptional scanner or tester they cost Diamonds (a currency bought by real money, or if you save up can be traded in the exchange) in the Diamond shop.

2)For breeding there is a percentage. If both parents have vis in the same slot then the offspring will have vis too. If one parent has vis and one has carried then it is something like 50:50 (I cannot remember off the top of my head right now..)
As to the recessive and dominance of a gene/mut. The older the mut/gene (the higher it is on the generator list) the more dominant it is. If you go to the hex code you will see that the genes/muts are alphabetically ordered, A being the first Gene/Mut and say E being the last. Now this does not mean that A will always show vis over E it is just very rare for E to be the vis.

....................................
[picture example]
This is my little Ry
one of her parents had Shock runes (aka A) hidden in G1 and the other had Vis Water tiger (aka E) in the same slot. As you can see she has vis Shick runes and if you look at her code it says &gd1=AE (this means that underneath her shock runes she also carries the genetic DNA of Water Tiger, and therefor could pass that on.) Just because the test breeding grounds is only showing the dominant vis does not mean that the recessive will never show, its just a large gamble.
....................................

3) as of the moment w cannot test breed with other peoples pets however in the future Our admins will unlock the breeding generator and it is in there that you will be able to do this.

4) No you can only use one filter when an egg is ready to hatch.

I hope these answers have helped you out :)

Yes thank you!
I have one follow up question. Where do you find her code that has the AE in it?

ahh ok well there are a couple of ways to get the code.

1. right click the pet you want to see the code of, then click the option [copy image Url]. then click a new tab and paste it in there.

2. Click and drag the pets image (but only while on its profile page) into a new tab.

what you will get looks like this

http://www.sylestia.com/imagebuilder.php?species=vulnyx&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=DD&gd2=NN&gd3=CC&md1=NN&md2=NN&md3=NN&ec=630d5d&c1=070709&c2=ffffff&c3=0c0642&gd1c=8c8c8c&gd2c=f7f2f7&gd3c=d837d7&md1c=063107&md2c=070709&md3c=410441&maturity=292&size=250

(I used your starter btw.)
so a few things to notice. g1- 3 are the three genes and m1-3 are the three mutations.then we come to the colour hex's for the pet. Them maturity, when a pet reaches adulthood this counter will be at 648. and then you can adjust the size of the image at the very end .
&size=100
&size=250
either &size=500 or remove the &size= to get 500 (which is the largest an image can get).
