This suggestion is similar to the idea of having a game bank (a suggestion I remember seeing, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the thread :( ), but more individual.
A bank suggests things like interest and borrowing money, but that can get very complicated (especially if someone decides not to pay borrowed money back). So instead I would suggest adding a personal vault for players, where they can set aside gold and diamonds that won't show up in their player info boxes. This would allow players to save up easily or prevent themselves from spending currency that was intended for something else (out of sight, out of mind :) ).
This Vault could also serve as a miniature inventory (with limited, or diamond buyable, space), for players to store a few precious items they want to make certain to keep for later (ex. essence for a future project). This would help with impulsive trading, so players are less likely to give away something they had planned to use later.

I'm not against it by any means, but with the ability to buy tabs there's really no need for a vault. It would be nice if you could name the tabs things like "Keep These!" But I just stash the stuff I want to hold onto in the very last tab I've bought... Works pretty well.

True enough on the item storage, but that was really just an extra idea. The primary point is that needs to be a way to store gold and diamonds where they can't be accidentally spent.

In that case, there are already plenty of threads suggesting a bank. Last I heard it was being considered.
