PROLOGUE

"Come here, young kit." A voice says from the darkness. Relived you run towards it. Soon a dark tabby tom came into view. His eyes were amber but had a milky color over them you-being a scared kit lost In your own dream-flinch and back away but the cat just smiles. "A stranger in your dreams? It's scary isn't it? Don't worry. My name is Ice On The Stone." He pauses giving you some time to process what he's saying. When he see's you sit down with your ears pricked to hear more he continues. "Let me tell you a tale. One that no cat knows. Then I'll send you back to your nest. Okay? You nod. "Well. Long before the clans came to the lake. Long before they came to the forest. They lived in the mountains. Known as The Tribe of Rushing Water. Tired of the long winters and little prey a group of cats left the mountains. And found the forest." He paused for a second. "Exactly!" The tom says in answer to your question. "No one knows what happened to The Tribe. I'll tell you a story about the Tribe after the cats left. Make yourself comfortable for this is a long story."
