I now know the stats for breeding, but does the visible have to be the same in both parents for the child to get it. Or is it that if there are multiple different visibles that there is a chance of the child getting soe of the dad's or some of the mom's.

Not sure what you're asking in your question, seemed kinda vague. xD;

1. Here's a breeding chart for how traits work when paired together. c:

2. Each mutation/gene slot works independently of one another. So within one slot, you have to consider the none/carried/visible status of each trait.

Say I bred these two pets.

For gene one: The male has swoosh vis, and the female has leopard carried.
First: getting it visible: there's a 50% chance the trait will come out vis, and 50% it will come out carried.
Second: dominance. Swoosh is dominant to Leopard, so if it were visible, the trait would be Swoosh.

This is different from say gene three: male has nebula, female has runic swirls, both carried.
First: there's 50% it'll be carried, and 25% it'd be visible.
Second: Runic Swirls are dominant over Nebula, so if it were visible, it'd be Runic Swirls. However, there is a chance that if it were carried, it could be either runic swirls or nebula.

I'm probably going off tangent, but that's just an example. I wasn't sure what you asked, but in short, it really depends on what gene/mutation you're talking about between both parents, because each has its own statistic on carrying over into the baby.

Figured it would be hard to understand. You actually answered my question. I was wondering if it had to be the same gene to be carried or visible. Now I know the dominant gene will be visible if it is visible and either can be carried. Also, how can you tell the dominance of a gene?

Dominance can be determined from the order it shows up on the dropdown menu in the generator or in the search.
Newest traits are always the most recessive compared to the ones that came before it.

When you look them up, they are also denoted by letters. A is the most dominant, followed by the traits after A being recessive.
