So in order to breed down a trait does it have to carry or can it be visible? does it being visible effect if it can pass a trait down? I was wondering cause everytime i do the test breed they never bring down there traits with them.

Let's see if I can summarize this in an easy way. X3 If you want the trait to be visible, then both the parents need to have the trait either carried or visible. :3
If both parents are carrying it, the baby will either have it visible, carried, or get nothing at all.
If one parent has it visible, and the other is carrying it, then the baby is guaranteed to at least be carrying it. It will have a higher chance of being visible.
If both parents have it visible, then the baby will guaranteed have it as a visible.

To add to what Vevina said, I had this chart I drew a long time back aha.
A lot of it can be thought of as punett squares.
