What do you do to get to the battles? I go to explore and click on battles but it just takes me to the map. I looked all over the map but no battles. What do I do?

You'll first have to explore an area. Go to Explore -> Map and click an available area to explore it. Once you have encountered an enemy and entered a battle, the battle link takes you to said battle.
