With Time

Tao grumbled as he glared out at the world that couldn't see him, to think that people had changed so much to no longer be able to see spirits of nature, life, time, and the elements. He harrumphed as he crossed his legs and amused himself by tapping on the glass in front of him watching people jump back shocked that this thing either really was 'haunted' or had some device hidden in it to make tapping sounds.
The truth was he was bored, bored as hell and that was saying something for a spirit of time. It had been ages ago that he had trusted a dragon of all things when it promised not to hurt him as he was looking for shelter weakened after being trapped and abused by humans. Humans had found out that he was a spirit of time and had trapped him and left him weak so they could control him and as such control time. He didn't blame the humans, time was so short for them. He did however blame the dragon that had let him believe he was safe, listened to what happened, fed him, clothed him, and the moment he finally passed out trapped him.

Yes trapped him, and even though he controlled time there was nothing he could do about it because dragon forged items lasted nearly forever. The dragon had crafted an hourglass large enough to allow him to lay and stand in either half comfortably and be able to pass sides. It had been filled with volcanic sand he could survive in but the glass was the problem. Though it really wasn't glass, it was volcanic sand mixed with ground dragon scales so he couldn't destroy it. He'd been placed inside with the sand and then the dragon had sealed it with unicorn blood and gold. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but Unicorn blood and gold were strong seals when mixed together and really only a unicorn, a dragon, or humans could free him.

All of this led to his current problem, sitting in an hourglass in the middle of some park in some city knowing humans couldn't see him, dragons all but dead, and who knew what happened to the unicorns. He just wanted out finally, it had been centuries since he'd been trapped and even dragon's were well laughed at legends now. Now his hourglass was seen as 'haunted' and people thought the strange actions of the sand and tapping were the cause of an annoyed ghost! Well he was annoyed but he was no ghost.
Huffing he pulled at one of his fox ears and fell back screaming in frustration knowing everyone would hear it, not that he really cared. Rolling over he pressed his hands to the glass and stared out at the park his tail waving lazily in the sand making it move. Oh yes he'd forgotten that part, while he was a spirit of time he resembled a snow white fox demon when angry, weak, trapped or bored, with fangs, claws, ears, and tail. Smirking he waited for a child to lean close to the glass trying to see the ghost before he howled and slammed his hands against the glass to scare them. Really it was the little things like scaring people that kept him alive anymore...not counting the fact that only a few things could even kill him.

The world was in limbo now, something he didn't understand, unless it was with the deaths of those creatures that controlled those aspects of life and or nature. It was sad really to see the world trapped in such a way, but it was also a gift, no more unexpected deaths due to earthquakes, storms, or other natural disasters..all of which were nothing more than the creature that controlled them either throwing a fit or shifting in their sleep. If they were dead however it meant magic was leaving the world, if all magic passed away then the world was stale and stagnate, grow ill and rot slowly. But all these things came in time, all things cycled, even magic and those that controlled it.

Pulling out a loaf from the oven and carefully setting it on the counter, Dahlia took off her apron and wiped the sweat from her forehead. It was warm today in the shop and business was slow. "Mom! I'm going for a walk!" She yelled through the small bakery. She loved working at a place that was in the park. She felt slightly drawn to the weird hourglass that sat directly in the middle of the place and everyday she would just sit there staring into it. Pulling the hairnet off she exited the kitchen and pulled the hair tie out of her hair. She liked the way it felt when her hair was free, her mom says she should cut it because its length was becoming unmanageable but she couldn't imagine walking and not feeling her hair rubbing her back. Looking around the bakery part of the store for a minute she snatched a small cupcake off of a plate and exited the shop as quickly as possible. Stopping a few feet from the shop she closed her eyes and allowed the sun to warm her face. She loved the way it felt to be free. Opening her eyes, she continued to walk down a small path that normally only she would take. It was a shortcut to the middle of the park but it wasn't paved, it was dirt and slightly wet so her tennis shoes sunk slightly. It cut into the woods that surrounded the park and opened into six different paths when you step a few feet into the woods. Choosing the small path second from the right and took off at a small jog.

Valentina stood right outside the small entrance to the park. She spent most of her time here lately, jogging and trying to forget everything. Pulling the hair tie from her wrist she tied her hair up. Rolling her shoulders hoping to relax them she bent over and picked her small duffle bag up. Changing the straps to forma book bag she slipped it on her back. She wasn't sure were she would run today, it was normally just random. She would run until she couldn't breath and then force herself to go further. With a deep breath to calm her pounding heart she ran inside the park. Starting off at a slow jog she kept to the main paths of the park because it rained a few days ago and she didn't want to worry about mud on her clothes. She kept her eyes down and watched her feet, she didn't like making eye contact with people because it felt like they were judging her.

Azalea sat on a bench and opened her violin case. She needed a hundred extra dollars for rent and playing the violin is pretty much all she knew how to do. Pulling her violin out of the case she sat it down next to her. Careful not to scratch the paint which made it look shiny like chrome. Unlatching her bow she set that down to and opened a special latch that held her shoulder rest. Slipping the shoulder rest onto her violin she held her violin under her chin and picked her bow up with a free hand. Gently she slid the bow over all four of her strings to check and make sure they were in tune. Everything sounded fine so she set the violin back down and grabbed her hat and a small sign that read 'Please Donate'. Setting up the sign and hat so people could toss money in she picked the violin back up and took a deep breath. She usually just played what came from the heart but she had been practising a specific song and was excited about playing it. Setting the bow on the string she began. She favored the E string and most of the song she played either started on E or A.

Hanging up his apron for the day, Christian exited the grocery store with a sigh of relief. He hated working morning shifts, he was either stuck with old people or drunk people and they weren't his type of people. Crossing the parking lot he stopped when he heard a faint yelling from what seemed right next to his car. Clearing the rest of the distance between him and his car he saw that it was two brothers and they were a few cars away. he didnt know why he was so paranoid lately but everything has been freaking him out. Pulling the car keys from his pocket he unlocked the driver door and slid inside. He loved his car, it was really the only thing about his life that actually meant something. He bought this jeep wrangler unlimited a few years ago and it was still running pretty good. Shutting his car door he shoved the keys in the ignition and started the car. He didn't want to go home but he didn't know of anywhere else to go.

Jonathan didnt have to work today so he decided to spend his extra time at the park. He didnt have much else to do and the park was one of his favorite places to hang out. He had spent most of his time sitting under an old maple, listening to music on his old mp3 player. He didnt know what he was waiting for exactly but maybe something interesting to happen. He didnt know why he thought something interesting would happen since he picked the spot furthest away from were civilians would hang out. It was usually colder in this area because no sun really made it through the canopy of trees.

Choosing carefully, Brandon picked the park bench a few feet away from the musician playing classical music. He didnt really like classical music but it was good to read to. Stretching out across the park bench, making sure he takes up every inch so no one would be tempted to sit next to him, he pulls out one of the newest books he has been reading and just focused on the pages. He wasnt really concentrating hard on it, there was something bugging him and he couldnt figure it out exactly.

Lela brushed back some of her long hair as she cut a white rose from her prize rose bush. She lifted it up to her face and sniffed it, smiling to herself as she gently set it down next to her with all the flowers she had cut. She then gently picked up the bun del of flowers and stood up and walked into the Florist Shop she worked at. She hn placed the flowers in a lighty transparent blue vase that had clean water in. She shuffled the flowers aout to make a interesting design in the vase and waitsd behind the counter for a customer.

Nena was in the staff room of Maid Latte and was waiting for the two chefs to finish a order. She brushed back her dark hair and sighed as she leaned against a wall. She heard the gentle bell from the kitchen ring, meaning a order was ready. She grabbed her shiny tray and walked over to the reciving area and put a coffe with a slice of cheese cake onto her tray. She hen put on a fake smile as she walked out of the staff room into the main resturant area. She glanced at the table number for the drink and food and spotted a.man sitting there. She walked over and put the coffee and cheese cwke down next to him "Here's your meal Master!" She said in a joyful voice.

Koyu was splayed out on the sofa in his house. His two sistes where out working and his boss said that here would be no boxing matches for a bit...
He rolled over and fell of the sofa and didn't get up. He was bored out of his wits and there was nothing to do...he wanted to slip on his boxing gloves and box with someone...ANYONE!

((*Wriggles out of grasp* Unfortunately somewhat true... I guess >> Anyway, Now I'll try to post, and I'll do my best to get back to you on other rps... but I was being lazy and left all my homework undone, so after this I'm heading off to work >> That is, if my attention span permits me to do work))

Yuki gripped the neck of the brown cloak she donned, her face hidden in the shadows of the hood. Her companion, a tall black-haired male, walked alongside her as they made their way through the park, admiring the scenery around them.
Every now and then, the girl would glance at the hourglass at the center of the park, eyeing it wearily. Something was amiss, and for some reason, she felt drawn to it.
"That hourglass..."
Weixiang looked to where she pointed, and chuckled. She had only been awake for a week, and had stayed in the house for majority of the time, so he wasn't surprised that she was asking about it now. "Ah, it's been here for a long time... Something about it feels off, doesn't it?"
Yuki stayed quiet, contemplating what to do. Finally drawing her gaze away, she turned her gaze downwards, tugging at the hood and the choker she wore underneath. "Let's continue on." Something was unsettling about it, true, but she didn't want to inspect it in the daylight, when humans roamed freely and in numbers. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she had heard someone scream though... "I want to come back later."
Weixiang laughed lightly and nodded, linking arms with her again as they made their way down the path.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From his balcony, a coffee cup in hand, Richter stared down at the park, smiling as he looked at the countless people below him. Licking his lips as he sipped the last bit of the mug's content, he lazily walked back into the house, setting it down in the kitchen sink before calling Reiki. They had work to do, and he figured he might as well ask if the younger male was free.
"- Alright then, we'll meet up at the park." Replacing the phone, he grabbed his belongings and walked out, bag slung over a shoulder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Violet and Weiss were in their school's music room, finishing up the project they had been assigned.
"Hmm... It doesn't sound quite right... Try using E minor instead?"
The guitarist complied, and the violinist was finally satisfied with their work as he strummed out the notes.
"Alright! Now that we're done... Shall we go and grab a drink?"
The ever-silent male nodded, and helped his friend pack up, before the two left, the female messaging her brother of their whereabouts, and discussing their meeting place for that night's meeting. She was sure he was with Reiki though, he always found a way to be with him whenever was possible!
She found it weird that a boy his age would make it into one of Richter's classes, but then again, Weiss and her were in the same class, and she was a full year younger than him.
In the end, she just attributed it to the fact that the school the four were in had a habit of mixing students up, depending on ability and not age, and Reiki was smart, as she was talented, and left it at that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucy wiped her gun clean, and lay it to rest at her table, before moving on to her sword. Humming a soft song, she did her self-assigned duties before heading out for a walk in the park, leaving a note on her desk to tell her parents where she would be going, since neither where at home. While she enjoyed exploring, she was slightly relieved that they had decided to settle down for a while to get her and her brother proper education. It gave her more time in their current location to relax and enjoy her surroundings instead of running around, helping her parents with excavation digs and the sorts. She would also add that she could make friends, but as an archaeologist's daughter, her only friends would be the artifacts. Human friends were so overrated.

((To note, Weixiang's hair is black >< And er.. if this is poop, sorry, my brain's dead again >>))

(Sorry to every one as well, between illness, family health issues, construction/painting/re-flooring from an electrical fire, and mid-terms I haven't had time to get on at all lately. I'll be able to get back to this next weekend.)
