Hi, I was just wondering if the captured sylestia ever has any interesting genes. I mean, the ones you get from the quest about learning how to catch your first sylestia. Cause mine is really boring, and the colors I think don't go well together at all...

Sometimes they do! If you find a pet in the wild that's labled "uncommon" or "rare" they have visible genes/mutations, and sometimes other carried ones.

Beauty's in the eye of the beholder. My first captured pet, Poison, is a hot pink zolnixi with a neon green underbelly (hence the name poison, she looks radioactive! lol). As you keep playing, you'll see some pets that you may think are cute, cool, or not really worthy of being captured. They all come from a random generator as well, so it's not like every pet you'll see is tailor made to be beautiful. x:

edit: As the above post said, you'll later on as you play see "uncommon" or "rare" pets that have a certain gene/trait (rarity means they may carry or show a gene/mutation). Whether they good looking with their colors is another story. xD

The green and the purple eyes I was like "Huh?!" and then the pink just throws me off. I know about the ones in the wild, and I keep hoping I will find pretty ones to capture. Some people like clashy-colored pets I guess, but I certainly don't. x3

Oh, well in that case, the pet I caught from the scripted capture was quite ugly, but he does carry the serval spots and feathered wings genes.

I guess I got kinda lucky with my scripted capture then! I got a Quitari male, who makes pretty babies (colorwise, but not markings ahhh) with my starter Quiti



He came with Carousel, which I thought looks pretty okay. He looks like some kind of derange watermelon on hooves though!!

The captured pet I got for the quest was...

Well, I could use her as a mate to first pet...but....I...don't like her much. I just keep her as a mission pet. And nostalgia I guess.

I ended up getting a BEAUTIFUL aurleon, with every shade of purple and pretty blue eyes. I traded her away since then, however...

This is the sylesti I got from the scripted event. I kind of like her coloring. I think the grey mane balances her otherwise bright colors nicely. Along with the visible gnarled horn she's a carrier of pegasus wings.

If I remember well, she's my "Scripted Capture" baby~ :3
