Hey there everyone! This is a bit out-of-the-ordinary, and different from other art threads. Mostly for the fact that I'm not drawing other people's characters here. I'm making up their kids!

I'm really into genetics lately (I know cat genetics extremely well, and have a pretty good understanding of dog genetics as well.) And I really like making up characters based on genetics. So I figured why not, you know?

What about characters who don't have natural coloring or markings?

For the purpose of this, we're just going to assume that all warm colors fall into the "red" or "cream" categories, and all cool colors fall into the "black" or "gray" categories when it comes to how the genetics will work. Saturation will dictate whether they're treated as diluted or regular coloring.

Obviously, there are no dogs who are purple or cats who are blue and green. But those can be fun to make up, sometimes.

As for markings, I will treat unnatural ones as mutations to a different gene. It will, of course, have the chance of being passed down to their offspring as well.

What about creatures other than cats and dogs?

If it's a real-life creature, then unfortunately I won't be able to do much.

If it's a creature of your own design (or someone else's), however, I can definitely apply a different animal's genetics to them instead, or make up my own rules for it! (Or you can make up the rules. That's cool, too.)

If it's a mostly real-life creature (like a wolf with wings, or what have you) then I suppose I'll try to do as best I can, so long as it's cat or dog based.

So in short

Made up creatures: Sure.
Real-life creatures other than cats and dogs: Sorry, can't do it.

Prices?

The starting price is 20k gold. For this you'll get 3 different children for your characters.

You can add an extra child onto that for 5k gold each, up to 3 extra- or 6 total. (It gets to be a little too much of a hassle when doing any more than that at one time.)

I will be drawing a new image for each litter, but for an extra 16k gold I'll draw a separate image for every child made in that litter.

If you're unsatisfied with how they turn out, please just be sure to tell me! I will not re-do lineart, but I will redo the colors/markings to be something more to your liking.

Important rules and such. Please read before posting.

As for rules, they go as follows.

1. You have every right to edit or re-sell designs, as well as use said designs however you want. I don't mind it in the slightest.

2. You may NOT trace over my images, or erase the color to use as lineart, ect. The drawing still belongs to me, even if the design belongs to you. Things you may do with the images are: Post for other people to see (with credit to me), use that picture for a reference if you want someone to draw that character.

3. I will have 3 slots open at a time- Which is to say the 3 that I'm currently working on. You may place a request at any time, but please understand that I will not start working on yours until the 3 in the slots have had theirs completed, and (if relevant) the people who place requests before you have gotten theirs done, as well.

4. I do not accept payments until I've started working on yours. I will message you when I need you to pay. If you don't pay within a week, I will be forced to skip onto the next person to keep from clogging up slots.

5. If you're unsatisfied and would rather get your money back than have me re-do the ones you don't like, then just tell me. However, this means that you do not get any rights to the images or designs. You can only use them if you pay, for obvious reasons.

Fill this out and post!

If it's a made-up creature, what kind of genes do you want applied to it?: (You can pick for me to make up my own, cat genes, dog genes, or you can message me the way the genes work if you already have them planned out.)
Number of children you want made (3-6):
Custom lineart for each child?:
Stage of life the litter should be drawn in? (Newborns, kids, adults, ect.):
Is there anything in particular you absolutely do not want the children to have? (I.E. "I do not want any of them to have spots."):
Is there anything in particular you want them to be able to have? (I.E. "I want it to be possible for them to have spots, even if the parents don't."):

For those last ones, I can only do that if it's actually possible. Which is to say, for a cat, if you were to say "I don't want them to have any stripes," but one turns out being red or cream. Well, they kind of have to have stripes, genetically speaking. But I'll do my best to complete your request.

Username: Maddytivon & Ldbmaknaekitten (my little sister who I write with, I can't claim full credit for them since we both came up with these creatures)

Eldrie snow leopard/horse-deer-ram/wolf creature (blues, purples, grays, reds, they were bred to have those colors enhanced from their lighter more natural shades of these as they are mainly war mounts/messenger mounts/race runners so they benefit from being highly visible, they are also predators)
A large omnivorous four legged mammal with rich thick fur of deep blues, blacks, purples, or reds, with stripped or spotted patterns being most common. They also have short horns from their noses up to their brow, the longest of these is just above their nose, Behind their ears they have either ram like horns, a rack like a deer, or even spiraling horns. They are very canine like in nature, and incredibly fast and strong, they are the more common mounts, and if care is given to their breeding they become larger, stronger, and suitable for war mounts. They have fangs for eating meat, their font legs in in clawed cat like paws, their rear legs either end in hooves or clawed paws, and they also have a long cat like tail.
Mother reference: A tall sleek female with long spiraling horns, strong jaws, her back legs end in hooves, her fur is a mix of spots and stripes. The base coat is a dark midnight blue, the spots are a pale blue while the stripes are a deep royal purple, with large silver eyes. She has the build of a racer and yet is also perfect for breeding speed into war mounts.
Father reference: A large bulky male who is from a long line of war mounts, he has curling ram like horns that help protect his skull in a fight, a rust red color with black stripes and a few pale purple spots on his rear and tail, his back legs in in clawed paws, and his eyes are a deep blue.
If it's a made-up creature, what kind of genes do you want applied to it?: make up my own, cat genes
Number of children you want made (3-6): 4
Custom lineart for each child?: Yes
Stage of life the litter should be drawn in?: 1 newborn, 1 kid, 1 adult (gives us an age line example)
Is there anything in particular you absolutely do not want the children to have? (I.E. "I do not want any of them to have spots."): N/A
Is there anything in particular you want them to be able to have? (I.E. "I want it to be possible for them to have spots, even if the parents don't."): N/A

Zarkel maned wolf/lion/water creature (blues, greens, silvers, they are water/land predators so their coloring helps them in the water where they mainly hunt)
A beautiful and deceptively gentle looking carnivorous beast, covered in sleek short fur save for the neck where the fur is longer and thick, also known by the large intricate crest on their heads bearing a 'stone' used for many things including jewelry. Vicious predators who when hungry will pursue their prey until win, are killed, or find something far more appealing. They are a race of creatures that could live on both land or water having two separate respiratory systems, enormous clawed paws with webs between their toes, fangs, and a scaled tail. A single zarkel could easily eat six people before dragging another away to hide for a later meal.
Mother reference: Large, sea green fur, dark blue body with a koi fish spot pattern in silver across her skin and fur, dark green gem in her pale blue crest and amber eyes.
Father reference: Abnormally large even for a Zarkel, dark green body and silver fur with a pale blue wave like pattern across his body, dark blue crest with silver gem and gray eyes.
If it's a made-up creature, what kind of genes do you want applied to it?: make up my own, dog genes
Number of children you want made (3-6): 4

Is there anything in particular you absolutely do not want the children to have? (I.E. "I do not want any of them to have spots."): Gills
Is there anything in particular you want them to be able to have? (I.E. "I want it to be possible for them to have spots, even if the parents don't."): N/A

Melkai ram/deer/horse/donkey/clydesdale creature (browns, tans, they are prey so they have colors to help them hide near the rocks, forests they live in)
Stubborn herbivorous creatures that are difficult to control unless they decide they like you and will help you, despite being work animals they are very intelligent and protect the young of any race, due to that fact they are often used to teach young how to ride as a starting mount. They are often used in field work or a main staple of many's diets. Generally peaceful creatures they can and will become vicious in a fight, and have an uncanny ability to navigate any path avoiding traps and danger, that is if they like their rider enough to care about their safety of course. They often have large ram like horns or a rack like a deer, it's rather unusual to find a Melkai that doesn't have horns at all.
Mother reference: A small female with no horns and a sandy color to her with darker brown patches on her with almost black specks covering her, she has dark brown eyes.
Father reference: A tall bulky male often used for farm work that can also navigate the narrow dangerous paths of the forest, he's a dark brown color with lighter brown stripes and deep amber eyes. He has large ram like horns though the left one is broken in half leaving a jagged edge.
If it's a made-up creature, what kind of genes do you want applied to it?: make up my own, they're the work horses really and stubborn creatures
Number of children you want made (3-6): 4
Custom lineart for each child?: Yes
