i get two windows this one is on top and says:

"There was an Error!

You must enter a username, password, and activation key!"

the second window is the one to activate the account with a link to resend activation email. When i tell it to resend it says that my account is already activated.

The error you pasted can only be seen if you're using the activation page - which you shouldn't be if you're trying to log in.

Obviously, you're logged in so your account is activated. The error is just the default error when you submit the activation form and the information doesn't match to a valid account that needs to be activated.

When you log in, just make sure you're using the log in box at the top of any page and not the activation form.

On rare ocassions, I get this error. I just chalked it up to a minor scripting error/scripting conflict. I only noticed it more recently, so who knows what kicked it into play. @.@
Atleast it isn't like an issue my brother would have on everquest. He'd enter a zone with this one particular character, and a certain bear would come from the other side of the zone and maul him. The GMs seen it happen and couldn't figure it out, cuz it ONLY happened on THAT one character.

Oh, is then when you attempt to log in from an old layout page? Like... say you're viewing a user profile or something and try to log in.

If so, then I'd suggest not using the old layout to log in. I mean, nothing 'bad' will happen or anything, but the new layout is just much more efficient.


Also, Oogbar, that sounds very Everquest-like. =P I always miss playing it - it was always such a unique game. Even down to a random bear mauling. =P

The log-in issue has happened twice on the new layout, once on the old layout. It's not frequent enough to incite mass panic, but it is an issue to take note of. All in all though, all the work you've done is amazing! I'd loose my mind after just scripting the home page! X)

ok so how old is the "new lay out?"

i haven't logged in a week or maybe two and how do i find the new lay out? i go to home page (http://www.sylestia.com) and i am logged in and when i go to any other page it looks different and it says that error. I don't see any other way to log on on the new page and it does say "Welcome, Bludragon" but i get that error anyway. I've cleared my cache but that didn't help. As soon as i got to any other page the header looks wierd and i get the error and the activation window.

I can't figure out why this window keeps coming up and i can't play until i can make it go away. I'm not sure i understand what it is you are suggesting, shouldn't the new layout be just coming up when i open the page?

ok so i just noticed something else, i go to the map the windows pop up, i close them then attempt to click on one of the locations on the map, which takes me back to the homepage not logged in.

Hmmm... Maybe, for clarification perposes, what sort of system are you logging on from (computer, phone, tablet)? There could possibly be an issue with a setting on your browser program... I'm only taking shots in the dark though. I only have minor technical knowledge, when it comes to databases...

Hm. Perhaps can you take a screenshot and show me what you're seeing?

Yes Oogbar you are correct, i should include more info.

I was using Chrome on my laptop, haven't attempted it on my phone yet.
i just tried it in Firefox and it is working just fine so this seems to be related to chrome somehow. I can't help but to wonder if it is related to one of the apps/plugins i am using in chrome.

Its getting late here so i better go to bed (5 am comes early).
I will try to do some more checking and get back to you guys. Since i wasn't having problems with chrome initially and i have recently added some apps/plugins, i suspect that perhaps one of those might be behind this.

Actually... now that it is mentioned... the only times I have that problem, is when I'm on my compuker... My usual (have been to lazy to get f.f. since I installed W8) is chrome, and chrome is the ONLY browser I've had that issue on. Never had that problem before I installed new parts on compuker, and never had that problem on my phone.
So, more than likely, it's a setting in Google Chrome. : \
... New reason to download firefox! XD
