I'm new to the game and I'm not sure if this is the right form but how long does it take for an egg to hatch ?

usually around 2-3 days depending on how many nurtures it gets :)

You can also estimate how much longer before it hatches based on the yellow bar in the genetics section of the egg's page. subtracting the lower number there from 72 gives you how many hours before the egg hatches, assuming it is not nurtured in that time :)
