Create a Sylestia Valentine

No Reserving Posts

1. You must create a Sylestia themed Valentine using real life arts and crafts. Any types of materials may be used as long as your finished item is Sylestia themed and resembles a Valentine.

2. You must provide at least 3 progress pictures of the creation of your Valentine. Each picture must include your Sylestia Username and the Date. You must upload your pictures to an image uploading site, such as http://imgur.com. Failing to follow this rule will automatically disqualify your entry.

3. In order to qualify as an entry, the entry must look like it actually required effort. Please do not just throw something together in 5 minutes with the goal of just simply earning the Participation Prizes. Faiona and I will be the sole judges of what we deem to qualify or not. We obviously are not going to be judging on skill for this part so as long as you actually put forth effort to make something, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. We just want to see everyone who participates put forth some effort as we feel that makes the Prizes fair to everyone. =)

4. You must submit your own entry. You cannot share an entry with other Players. You can, however, work together with other players on your own entries. You just have to of been the one to make it and the one to submit it.

5. The due date for submitting your entry is by the end of the Week of Love Event.

Prizes

There will be prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. All entries will be judged and the winners will be selected by the Admins.

There will be a Participation Prize as well.

Progression Pictures

I made a Valentine card for my Aurleon partner Astra! She and I have been through a lot together and I wanted to do something to show how much I love her <3




I also wanted to show off a few things my Sylesti friends did for each other!
Here's the blue flower Astra's mate Redwind gave her. Some of the petals were falling off, but I don't know where he got it this time of year!

Astra herself has been gathering extra materials for a potential nest (not pictured). I imagine it's quite meaningful to Redwind since Astra has never lived without me and sometimes struggles with "normal bird things."

I thought it was cool earlier this winter when my water-attuned Ryori Nyx learned to throw snowballs, but recently they made a snow sculpture of their best friend Ember the Zolnixi!



Ember is very much attuned to fire and sometimes uses her powers by accident when she's feeling intense emotions. I think she really liked it, because she almost melted it by accident. (I'm pretty sure if she disliked it that much, she'd have melted it on purpose.)

I tried to fold in all the petals I cut, but it ended up rather bulky. I got more pipe cleaners and removed some petals to make it look more like a flower.



I unfortunately did not get process pics for Nyx's snow sculpture, so feel free to discount it. Here are some additional angles:

My partner is finally back in town!! I figured it was the perfect opportunity to bring her something, try for a submission, AND secretly send her subliminal messages so that she'd play Sylestia with me :D
Took more than 4 photos. Oops? I can cut down to the more important ones if it's too many...
First, make some marzipan (to later decorate your cookies!)





Then, start making your cookies!








Now, you can start decorating! Got too locked in and forgot to take progress photos. Would you believe me if I said these are Ryoris with their nest? The cookies are meant to say "My Ray-ori of Sunshine," but the glaze I used was a bit too runny and the nozzle too thick, so it ended up messy.




I'll be taking these to my partner's place, so into the box they go~ took a bit of finagling to fit them all, but I got them in there!

Finished it a while ago but fell asleep after making it...and then forgot to post...so here we go! ^^
Modeled it after my love pair submission, except with all traits, since my fiance helped design them <3


First the sketch.


Color it in and add some rose petals floating around. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's all sparkle ink! =D Glitter everywhere!


Make a heart on the back.


And fold it and give it to my fiance. <3

Note to future self. Never colour melted chocolate EVER AGAIN

Ok i made candy hearts with funfetti cake with coloured white chocolate. They dont look good when the chocolate has seized but they tasted amazing



We start with a metal tray, butter cake mix and a bowl xD



Add the eggs. Whatever it says on the box i add an extra egg, makes the cake nicer


Boxed cake i used. Yes i use box cake. Making from scratch is a finicky process and i didnt feel like getting my scales out that day

Put a small layer of cake in 2 trays so i would have more hearts


Put in the sprinkles. I used these ones. I could have used "valentine" ones but i used what i had at home

Finished result. The orange seized cause i had to mix 2 different colours to get orange. What a mess




But they were tasty and i have been asked to make dinosaur shapes next <.<
