So, I went to the spooky shop and released a sylesti. In return it gave me some shard that was a lost grove loot. So I went and checked my inventory, but there was no shard or anything new. So could someone please tell me if its meant to show up somewhere else or if I didn't receive it because my user level is too low.

The Lost Grove is a later exploration zone that has its own sort of inventory in-zone. Once you reach that part in the story, the shard you won should show up there.
