Hi Magpieraven, welcome to Sylestia!
The easiest way to make money as a new player is to do quests and missions, and collect chests by exploring in the world map. Here is a guide to making gold!
You can get pets by exploring or buying them. People sell pets in the Pet Marketplace forum and you can also find pets for sale using Advanced Search.
