Newbie questions I couldnt find answers to (feel free to point me in the right direction of topics I need to read)
Ive tried looking for answers but I just couldnt find any.

How do I increase my own level? My pets reached my level then couldnt get any more exp
Can you breed for battle stats?
Why cant I add more than 8 pets to my stable?
How many pets can I nurture and get scales for in a day?
How fast does a pet recover its health?

Im sure theres more to ask so if anyone is looking to take on a newbie like me Im game.
Im not looking for hand outs or freebies. I want information.

Thank you
My name is Achz - I am the current annoying newbie.

-Your level increases when your highest level pet levels. If your highest level pet is level 30 and you level it to 31 then your level is now 31.
-When pets breed, a child's stats are a random stat in between the stats of the 2 parents' stats. You can, however, use philters to increase an egg's stats upon hatching. Most philters only increase 1 stat but the Prismatic Philter increases all of them. Is that what you mean?
-You have 25 slots in your stable right now. You can have 25 pets in there. Where are you seeing that you can't have more than 8?
-You are able to nurture all the hatchlings and eggs on the site if you want. You'll often see players doing it during nurture board competitions. The only limit is how many hatchlings and eggs are currently on the site. I don't know how many there currently are because the search maxes out at 5k so there are at least that many.
-I'm not actually sure. If your pet dies I think it's 15 or 30 minutes to revive and then it slowly recovers health over the next few hours.

Just to expand on what Sakina said:

You can 100% breed for battle stats! Most players make most of their gold off selling max and superstar pets! However, finding pets with good stats in the area that you are currently in will be quite hard.

Your best bet for breeding pets with improved stats would probably be breeding with other players pets. I'm not sure how much wandering around you've done on the site, but the advanced seach can be used to search for pets with higher stats to breed with. It's a little hard to navigate and you can't sort pets by stats, but if you know where to look you can generally find some pets with stats starting at around: 1200 130 80-90! These are mostly 'restricted trait' themed pets that you can find listed at the top of the Sylesti Themed Pet Codex!

Furthering that, once you enter the Lost grove you can catch pets with wild stats (These pets can also be found on the advanced search to breed with)!

^^ If we look at the strength of this pet, 103 is the total of the pets strength stat, 18 is its base stat and 85 is the wild stat.

You can improve the base stat by using different philters on an egg that is ready to hatch up until the pets stats reach 2000 200 100 100 100 100. The philters are as follows:

Prismatic philters Improve all of a pets stats (200 10 10 10 10 10).

Health philters improve the pets health by 200 & Mana philters improve the philters mana by 20.

Philters of acumen, nimbleness, precision & vigor improve their respective stat by 20.

Wild stats are a set stat that will slowly lower over generations after they're each rolled, I'm not quite sure what the rate is, but it's not a particularly significant amount. Here's a max stat breeding guide which will likely be quite helpful if that's something you choose to do!

- slightly further wording clarification, your player level is as high as the highest level a pet has reached while in your account. Player level does not affect exp gain, it merely caps what pets you can put into your party.
The only things that stop a pet from gaining exp are a) they have had a philter of unlearning used on them (have this icon in their info: , or b) they're level 75, and thus at the level cap

- on inheritance when breeding here (post 10, post 6)
also see this stat breeding guide though it was written before the health philter and mana philter were added, and before mana could be raised at all)

- there shouldn't be anything stopping you adding more than 8 (as Sakina says, one tab holds 25 pets), what has led to this conclusion?

- literally all the hatchlings and egglings on the site, each only once per day. You do not get a reward if you nurture a pet with the wrong option though

- I think the healing tick is once per 5 minutes when out of battle in non-Lost Grove areas? Takes longer for pets that are knocked unconscious to revive I think? (15 mins maybe?)

Further additions that were not asked about but will be helpful to know:

Elements come in two categories, Physical and Magical
Physical elements use the Strength stat and Physical Damage Stat for attack calculation, and do not use Magical Damage Stat at all
vice versa for Magical elements, which use Intelligence and the Magical Damage Stat for attack calculation and do not use the Physical Damage Sat at all.

Physical elements are Earth, Water, and Air
Magical elements are Shadow, Light, and Fire

you then have the groupings of Tank element, Attacker element, and Healer/Buffer element
Tank pets go in slot 1 and soak the majority of damage. They get equipped and statted for Health, Agility, and offence
Earth, Water, and Shadow are the typical tank elements, though sometimes Light is used
Earth and Water tanks under level 60 are generally going to want Assassin (Str/Agi) gear
Shadow and Light tanks under 60 generally get Illusionist (Int/Agi) gear

Attackers are Air and Fire. Focus is on pure damage output, leaning into offence and dexterity.
sub-60, Air uses Myrmidon gear (Str/Dex) typically, and Fire uses Evoker gear (Int/Dex) typically.

Healer/Buffer is Light and Water, though water doesn't really grow into the Buffer position until a minimum of lv30. They can go either way on the secondary stat of their equips- agi or dex- depending on what the player wants to lean into

Dex controls Accuracy and Crit Chance
Agi controls Evasion and Defences
The two stats share equal control over speed (300dex+100agi is the same speed as 200dex+200agi or 100dex+300agi)
