So, I noticed this recently, but just gave up but now it's happening again to me. Basically, I can't run from battles in Astryl's Tranquility - I feel like at least after 50 turns at least one running attempt should work.

What I did/how to recreate:
1. Be in Astryl's Tranquility
2. Encounter any enemy
3. Try to run, but fail running
4. In battle, keep attempting to run. It will seemingly never work (I tried for 50 turns)

For the third region, I believe that running away is based on factors and not just random RNG like the first two regions. Are you using a low level pet in your Party maybe?

Yeah, my party consisted of two level 74 pets and one level 30 pet. That's why I wanted to run, I didn't want any more XP on the 30 one!

I believe that's why. With such a low level in the party, the run chance always fails.

I'm not sure if this info will help at all, but if you're ever training a pet, and only want it to reach a certain level, and not go past the goal level once it's been reached, in the Scale Shop, you can buy Philter of Unlearning, which you can use to prevent a Sylesti from earning more XP(You'd use it from their profile page, under the Genetic Philters option in the Sylesti's information box).
If you ever want to reverse this, the Scale Shop also has Philter of Learning, which will allow the pet to once more earn experience.
Both philters cost 100 scales to purchase.
Some users also sell them on the Trade Broker under the Philters section.

If you already knew about the philter though, please feel free to disregard my reply. ^-^

Ah yeah I am aware about the Philters, I had one on hand even, I just wanted the satisfaction by exiting the zone by its exit which was two steps away but of course I had to run into an enemy xD;

Oh I see! That feels a little odd though to be fair, especially considering I had two high level ones on party as well. Is it calculated with one of their stats, or just a general "if there's a low level pet, it's gonna fail"?

So in the very beginning (first two regions), it's just a total dice roll.

In the third region, it was changed to be level based off of the lowest level in your party. At a certain threshold, it's a 100% fail chance.

And then in the Lost Grove, it was revised again, and is based on the lowest Quickness rating in your party.
