From what I've seen, most sell Diamonds in groups of 50, 100, 500, and 1000. Though there's always a chance you'll find a different amount being sold.

Buying 100 diamonds instead may be your best option if there's no 90 diamonds option to purchase.

From what I checked, there are a couple of 100 diamond Options for 200,000, and one 80 Diamond option for 160,000, with those exchanges being set up at 1 Diamond for 2000 Gold. If you were to wait though, to see if any cheaper options of around 100 Diamonds get set up, there seems to be quite a few offers of 1 Diamond for 1850 Gold, which is a bit cheaper.
Though you would need to save up more gold to afford the price of the Diamonds since it's unlikely that if someone sets up a set of 90 Diamonds, they'll cost 80,000 or less given the current going prices.
